A reader is a successful person. "a person who reads is a successful person" Who is a reading person

an unusual event took place. The organizers of the competition "Territory of Life" summed up the results and named the winners, as well as the writer Andrei Shchupov, known to many under the pseudonym Oleg Rain, met with his readers.

The start of the event was scheduled for one in the afternoon. The hall was mainly occupied by children, waiting with hope for the results of the competition, and their support group - teachers. Finally it became quiet. Began. Girls from music school 1 performed a lyric song and something from the repertoire of the Beatles, defusing the situation a little. The projector played the clip filmed by the participants, and the presenter announced into the microphone: "Hello!"

The main goal of the "Territory of Life" competition is to give young people the opportunity to express their point of view about the world and about themselves. More than 50 works from Yekaterinburg and its environs were submitted to the court, and one creative work was sent from the Krasnodar Territory!
In nomination " video social orientation "The first place was taken by Anton Kurilshchikov's clip "Healthy Lifestyle". A paradoxical combination of the theme of the clip and the name of the author, isn't it?
In nomination " social photography"Lena Ivanova's work entitled "Reviving Traditions" won the victory. Students from Pervouralsk won 1st place for the best social action "Take care of your health from a young age", and the work of Natalia Belyaeva "Is it easy to be young" won in the nomination " literary essay".

Special prizes were also established for a positive outlook and the desire to make our lives better.
All winners received certificates and special gifts from Andrey Shchupov - his books for teenagers. There will be something to do in the evenings.
When the participants learned that the writer was 45 years old, a noise went through the hall. Nobody expected such a turn, because the man looks much younger than his years, and he talks freshly.
"I'm sure that being a writer is extremely interesting. If only because you can immerse yourself in dozens of exciting professions, live hundreds of other people's lives," he says.

The main characters of A. Shchupov's books are usually adventurers who are ready for anything. The author admits that the characters are similar to him. Adventurousness is an integral part of human nature. But some have more, some have less. The author himself has done many risky things in his life. For example, about 20 years ago, Andrey Shchupov jumped from an airplane without any training and was not injured. What luck!

The writer had many pseudonyms - Oleg Rain, Sasha Belykh, Pavel Artemyikh. To the question "Why invent other names for yourself?" Andrey Shchupov replied that most often readers get hung up on one particular genre. Fans of science fiction do not want the author to waste time on detective stories, lovers of detective stories - on the contrary. He also likes to write in many genres. These are fantasy, psychological prose, books for children, detective stories and much, much more.

Andrey Shchupov calls children's literature his favorite genre. After all, writing is more interesting for children. They can also talk seriously, but in this direction there is no format, no framework. Oddly enough, children's literature is more liberated. The writer believes that the life of a modern teenager is quite gray and boring (school is home), and reading books is a great alternative to this. There is more, a reading person is successful man.

Andrey Shchupov began his search for himself with a self-made school newspaper. It all started with small articles and stories, then grew into larger works. The family approved of his choice and supported the writer in his endeavors. And now Andrey Shchupov is already a prize winner and a respected author. He writes books, brings up two children and does not age. At least it seems so.
The writer seemed to me an intelligent and interesting person.

I am sure that I will not be disappointed after reading the books of Andrey Shchupov! And you won't be disappointed.

1. They tend to be more sophisticated/refined

Reading allows people to delve into opinions and realities that are different from their own. This helps them refine their point of view. Reading also contributes to the development of intelligence, wisdom, composure and patience. Also, do not forget that people who read with pleasure can, like no one else, fully enjoy such trifles as good lighting, comfortable furniture and delicious tea.

2. They are more intelligent

When you read a lot, you learn a lot. Just because a person reads fantasy stories about elves and dragons doesn't mean it's stupid reading. Such books can be filled with life lessons. You can find a lot of people reading fantasy. And they have a better vocabulary than those who read various magazines or do not read at all. They understand clues better, they learn better new information. It is also more pleasant to communicate with them. And this is very important in a relationship. I don't want to say that the reader is a universal soldier, ready for anything. But from such people you will hear the phrase “I don’t know” much less often.

3. They are creative

Creativity is important in relationships. After a couple of years of relationship, it is very difficult to surprise your soulmate. When a person reads a lot, he absorbs the creativity of the authors, like a sponge. All of these books present ideas that readers might not have known about. And if you want a really long-term relationship, then people who read are more suitable for this. After all, they will find a way to maintain novelty in relationships and make them interesting. They will simply use the ideas they once read about.

4. They are still children at heart.

And such people understand children better, and they know how to deal with them. After all a good relationship sooner or later lead to children. And let's be honest, these are the people who can teach our children while they are growing up. Such people know a lot of fairy tales and can even invent them themselves. They will make sure that the children are really absorbed in the story.

5. He will be a more passionate lover

Have you ever read a tastefully described sex scene in a novel? They are very visual, but not vulgar. In the worlds that are described in the books, people are very passionate. And, as we said, people who read learn a lot. So, the book can teach to be passionate.

6. They are more patient

Reading books takes a lot of time. And busy people need weeks to finish a book. Some can devour a couple of hundred pages in just a few hours. In both cases, a lot of patience is needed. And patience is a skill that takes years to hone. And people who read really hone it long time. Such people will be patient enough to solve relationship problems.

7. They will teach you a lot

As we have repeatedly stated, people who read know a lot. They have read many pages, and these pages contain various lessons. After all, not all the books they read are fantasy, drama or novels. Such people love not only to read. They also love to learn. They love it. Which means they can also teach you a lot. Life, relationships, technology and more. Are there really incomprehensible topics for a truly well-read person? If there is, then he can read about it.

8. You are guaranteed personal time

Readers love to read. It sounds a little silly, but read on until the end. While reading, we imagine landscapes, people and scenes that are described in the book. And when we are interrupted from reading, everything stops. And you have to start over. When a person reads, he does not like to be disturbed. And that means you have time for yourself. You can sleep, take a bath, go shopping or do whatever you like.

9. They really know what romance is.

They read books containing elements of romance. Even if it's a fantasy novel written specifically for young guys or men, there will be romance in it. The heroes and heroines of his books are experiencing the worst moments in life. They experienced battles and betrayals, separation and despair. But, despite everything, they remain together, overcoming all difficulties. And if you meet a reading person, be sure that he knows everything about romance. So, your life will soon be filled with this very romance.

10. They know what caring is.

Books are made of paper. And paper is a very fragile thing. It can be destroyed by fire, water, and just time. So rest assured that people reading know how to take care of their stuff. After all, they will want to re-read their books again and again. You can be sure that such people will carefully treat not only their own, but also your things. And yes, they will take good care of you. Of course you are not a thing! It's just that these people take care of everything that is really dear to them.

In general, people who read are better than many others. But be careful! Not every reader is like the one described in my article.

And yes, they will take good care of you. Of course you are not a thing! It's just that these people take care of everything that is really dear to them.

In general, people who read are better than many others. But be careful! Not every reader is like the one described in my article.

IN Lately fashion for reading, fortunately, is gaining momentum. A person who does not read books is perceived by most of the youth as limited and not having a sufficient level of intelligence. No matter how rude it may sound, but it’s really worth thinking about the horizons of a person who is limited to glossy magazines / image boards / news feed in social networks - emphasize the necessary.

But I will not be ironic about those who neglect literature. One of my acquaintances (of course, not reading) once said the phrase: “Yes, what's the point of reading, it does not bring any benefit.” At that moment, I completely lost all words from indignation. After all, a person who loves books is well aware of the benefits of reading.

Therefore, in this article, I want to take revenge on my friend and talk to you about the benefits of reading.

1. A person who reads always has an advantage over those who neglect reading.

First of all, a well-read person always stands one step higher than the one who can count the books read in his life on his fingers. And here we mean the attractiveness of the reading person for the opposite sex. Remember the Big Bang Theory slogan that read "Smart is the new sexy"? When a person leaves the age when the appearance of a partner meant literally everything, there is a desire to see in his partner not only a beautiful picture, but also an interesting interlocutor. And what can you talk about with a person who does not read?

2. When you read, your fantasy is at its fullest.

Isn't that a reason creative person read a lot? Only a book lover knows that feeling of disappointment while watching another film adaptation of another book. After all, when reading a filmed book, you imagined everything in a completely different way, brighter, richer, more beautiful. And then a significant part of the work was thrown away, the event was depicted not as described in the book, but main character kinda weird...

3. You have something to do with yourself.

Imagine the situation: you just woke up, it’s wildly cold outside, so neither you nor your friends have any desire to leave the house. Your day turned out to be completely free, and you planned to spend it watching movies, a series or a computer game. And here, due to an accident at the station, the power is turned off for the whole day. What to do? Horror! But you have a great way out of the situation - a book. And for the whole day you are immersed in another world, watching your own movie in your imagination, which is much better than the movies that you wanted to see. And what would a person who does not read books do in such a situation?

4. The book allows you to get away from your problems for a while.

And you don't need a lot of alcohol or anything to make you forget. Just pick up a good book and start reading it. After a couple of dozen pages, you will not notice how you stop thinking about your problems. You will simply escape for a while to another world. And who knows, perhaps in this book you will find a solution to your problems.

5. Books give you a deeper view of the world.

By reading, you become calmer, make more informed decisions, and choose your social circle more carefully. And this is not due to the fact that after reading a dozen books, you have gained a lot of knowledge. It's just that any book requires the reader to think about what is happening in it. And this habit of thinking about the work is transferred to events from real life.

6. Reading brings variety to life.

If you don't have the opportunity to rush around the world right now, read a book about a country or such a trip. When you return home from a long journey with the main character, you will notice that your desire for a change of scenery has been somewhat satisfied. Of course, books cannot replace real travel, but adventure novel will act on you like a vitamin from the blues.

7. You will make new acquaintances and friends.

Books are close. Every reader knows those moments when it turns out that one of your friends also read a book you recently read, and it also turned his mind around. There is nothing more pleasant than sharing your impressions of what you read and finding support in the words of the interlocutor. And, of course, in the age of the Internet, you can discuss books on forums or somewhere else and find new like-minded people.

8. You will have something to pass on to your children.

This is where the books themselves take a backseat. The important thing is that you will have enough information and knowledge to give your child good and wise advice. A developed imagination will allow you to invent your own fairy tales, and a parent who tells a fairy tale rather than reads it causes much more admiration for the child. Well, you can come up with a more interesting story.

9. Reading people are easier to learn.

This pattern has been noticed for a long time - a person who reads books is easier to learn than one who neglects literature. It is not known what exactly gives such a result - more advanced thinking or already acquired perseverance - but the fact remains.

10. Beautiful speech.

A book lover will outperform a person who prefers to avoid reading. Yes, and the pleasure of communicating with someone who has a meager vocabulary, absolutely none. Who wants to wait until the interlocutor remembers the right word, replacing the gap in the speech with a lowing like: "Uh ... uuu ... this is ... like ... in short."

In conclusion of the article, I want to say that you should not go to extremes and replace all activities with reading. There are many worthwhile films, the Internet is saturated useful information, and computer games can also develop some skills. So keep a balance in your hobbies and develop.

Of course, everyone knows the letters. And everyone reads the literature necessary for study and work, various instructions, TV programs or newspapers. Does the younger generation remember the classics? Recently, on Ordzhonikidze Square, young librarians of the TsGB im. V. G. Belinsky conducted an experiment - they conducted a survey of citizens on the subject of plots of immortal works. Many, I must say, got into trouble even on the easiest questions. Galina Ivanova, deputy director of the VG Belinsky Library, is sure that without classical literature humanity is on the way to the loss of morality. About this and not only our conversation.

CLASSICS - THE WAY TO REMAIN HUMAN

“Unfortunately, young people don’t read classical literature today…

– This is true, this is evidenced by the results of our experiment. The survey demonstrated the blatant illiteracy and ignorance of today's youth and provided some food for thought. If a person graduated from high school and enters a university, he must have certain knowledge in all areas, because not only the quality of work, but also the people who are subordinate to him will depend on his outlook. I remember the bravado of one of our officials who said: “I didn't read anything, but I became a successful person. I am a politician."

- Here, here ... Many people think so. Say, why classical literature modern man?

- I can answer with the words of Dostoevsky: “Man is a mystery. I am engaged in this secret, because I want to be a man. In order to remain human, to be moral, to be able to sympathize, it is necessary to read classical literature. After all, all the postulates of the Bible are laid down in the classics and unfold through artistic images. Today, many of those on whom something depends (including officials) say: “You won’t feed everyone”, “You won’t give shelter to everyone”, “These are your problems.” So if you were elected by the people or you were appointed precisely in order to solve problems, then the problems of the people are your problems, no one will solve them except you. Therefore, I believe that the reasons for such immorality are that at one time these people did not bother their souls, their hearts with moral suffering, which are contained in many classical works. The poet Nikolai Zabolotsky wrote that "the soul is obliged to work." And it is not history, social science or philosophy that can make the soul work. Only classical literature can create moral work for the soul. For example, I consider The Brothers Karamazov to be a very topical work. Namely, the idea expressed in it that if there is no God, then everything is allowed: politics is allowed to destroy the people, an entrepreneur to increase profits - to drain some area. Or another example. One guy withdrew money from an ATM. Behind him stood an elderly woman. After taking the money, this guy turned around and hit this woman in the face. Can this guy be called human? Man needs classical literature in order to remain a man.

"NOT A DAY WITHOUT A LINE"

- Morality is formed from childhood. How to teach a child to read?

- Of course, from an early age. But in no case should you be forced to read. After all, when such a child grows up, he will be rejected by everything that was associated with violence in his childhood. Every child is an imitator of his parents. If adults want their child to read into a habit, you need to set an example for him - to read himself. Looking at how mom and dad are reading, the child will take the book himself.

- In our life full of various events, it is necessary to form the habit of “Not a day without a line”, as Olesha said. But he was talking about writers, and we're going to talk about readers. No matter what state you are in, no matter what impression you are, you should make it a rule to read at least a few pages a day. In my lexicon there is the concept of "bed book". This is the book that lies in my bed next to the pillow. I read it every day before bed. It happens that a person comes home tired, has dinner and goes to bed. It would seem that there is no time for reading at all. That's why you need a book to read before bed. A few lines every night will become a habit, and a person, albeit little by little, will begin to read regularly.

POETRY IS FOR THE SELECTED

What do you think is the use of poetry?

- I believe that poetry is the lot of the elite. If fiction everyone will be able to read, even if not everyone will understand, then poetry is for people of fine mental organization, literary gifted readers.

How to understand that you are able to understand and feel poetry? You think in poetry, in lines from poems that you read without even remembering where they came from.

Poetry is a form of thinking, poeticized existence. Whole the world you give poetry. Besides, if you love poetry, you do not need to memorize it, some fragments that have sunk into your soul will themselves remain in your memory, because this is the form of your thinking. Fragments of lines come by themselves while washing dishes, when you walk down the street, look out the window ...

People who do not understand poetry cannot be condemned. It's like not having an ear for music. Such people are not made for poetry.

"BOOK EATERS" AND REAL CONSISTS

- I think yes. For example, there are such people - "book swallowers". They “swallow” a lot of books, but then they can’t say anything. Can this be called a talent for reading? I think the talent of reading is when you extract something from a book for yourself, while noticing artistic features works: language, compositional construction, features of images. For example, I love the good, juicy, folk language of Sholokhov, Shukshin, Rasputin.

In general, librarians, as a rule, notice talented, interesting readers. Sometimes we give a book that the reader read two years ago. Then he comes and says: “I started reading and I feel it is something familiar. It was only later that I remembered that I had read this book. With a talented reader, this cannot be. He clearly knows what he read, and clearly remembers the state that owned him while reading.

– What is your favorite book?

- I think that a true connoisseur of literature does not have one favorite author or favorite book for life. It's just that at a certain life span, one writer or one work dominates.

I can tell you what books I would never read - Juliette Benzoni and her never-ending saga like "Santa Barbara". I feel sorry for my life for such reading. It will not bring me any knowledge about the human soul. I don't read fantasy, but not because it's a bad genre (by the way, it's very popular, especially among young people), but because it's not for me. In general, I believe that a talented reader is not omnivorous, he has his own taste preferences.

– What would you like to say as a conclusion of our reflection on reading?

– Without a book, one person, two, a hundred, even a thousand could live, but all mankind cannot live without books. IN good books a colossal charge of morality is laid down, and without morality we will cease to be human beings. No wonder the ancients said that homo sapiens is homo legens (a reasonable person is a reading person).
