Narine Abgaryan honestly admits that he does not like popularity. The writer does not have Instagram, and women have only a few neutral posts on Twitter. Narine prefers to open his soul to his readers in books. And, despite the ambiguous genre of works - children's literature for adults, the reader reciprocates her. For example, in 2016 Abgaryan received the prestigious Yasnaya Polyana Prize, which is awarded to authors who carry the ideals of philanthropy and morality.

Childhood and youth

The future creator of "Manyuni", the main characters of which the girl will write off from herself and her friend Maria Schatz in the future, was born in a small town in Armenia called Berd. The girl was born on January 14, 1971. After Narine, the Abragyan spouses gave birth to 3 more girls and a long-awaited boy, who diluted the kingdom of whispering sisters.

The friendly family spent a lot of time on joint trips around Armenia. The entire flavor of the mountainous area will later be reflected in the writer's works. Many years later, in an interview “ Russian newspaper“Narineh will say about his nationality that a lot of Armenian, Russian and universal is mixed in it.

Another hobby of Abgaryan was books. Children, like adults, spent a lot of time reading.

After graduating from school, Narine entered the Yerevan State Linguistic University. V. Ya. Bryusov, but, having received a diploma "teacher of Russian language and literature," the girl does not work in her specialty for a day. Narine understands that becoming a teacher is not her destiny, and in 1993 she moved to Moscow to find her calling.

However, in Russia, the talent of the writer is not immediately revealed. At first, Narine works in various fields, and later decides to get an accountant diploma.

Literature

Writing became a kind of outlet for Narine. At one point, many problems fell on the woman: working as an accountant did not bring pleasure, relations with her husband were strained, and her son fell ill. And the doctors made a difficult diagnosis for Narine herself, hinting that the woman had little time left.

To distract from the problems, Abgaryan opened a personal account in LJ ( social network "Live Journal"), where she published short stories based on her own childhood memories. Such a release of accumulated emotions brought an unexpected result. The son quickly recovered, the next tests confirmed that Narine's diagnosis was wrong.

In addition, the blog, constantly replenishing with new stories, attracted the attention of both the general public and serious publishers. Narine's works attracted the interest of Astrel-SPb, and in 2010 the novel Manyunya was published. The first edition of books about the adventures of two little girls in the mountains of Armenia was sold out in just over a week.

The rookie novelist's debut was shortlisted for the prestigious Big Book 2011 award, but was not a finalist. A year after the first story, a continuation of the fascinating story is published under the title "Manyunya writes a fantastic novel." The novel "Manyunya, Ba's Jubilee and Other Troubles", which appeared in bookstores in 2012, completed the trilogy that Abgaryan wrote about cute fidgets.

And between work on children's stories, the writer creates a novel "Come in large numbers". Like the story about Manyun, the book has many autobiographical moments. In an interview, Narine admits that this work is the most unloved of the writer. One of the main reasons is that there is too much swearing in the book, which looks unconvincing on the pages of the novel.

In 2014, after the publication of children's books and more serious literature, a period of joint creativity begins in Narine's biography. Together with Valentin Postnikov, the writer publishes the fairy tale "Chocolate Grandpa". The children liked the light work so much that the authors were besieged with requests to write a sequel. The writers agreed to consider such a possibility.

In 2015, Narine returned to serious literature. In the novel Three Apples Fell From the Sky, Abgaryan reveals the problems that really hurt the writer. A woman often speaks in her interviews about old age and attitudes towards old people. By the way, the writer does not like the word "old man", but so far she cannot find the correct synonym for it.

Later, the editor of the Odessa comic magazine "Fountain" turned to Narine and invited the writer to become the author of stories. Now in the online edition you can read 3 works by Abgaryan: "Driving Lessons, or How to brake with your back foot", "About Uncle Aram" and "How I Didn't Become a Millionaire."

Touching quotes from the writer's works in 2017 found a separate life. The AST publishing house has released the notebook “Life - it is where we are loved”. The notebook is decorated with aphorisms of the already famous author and illustrations by Elena Zhukovskaya.

Personal life

In conversations with journalists, Narine diligently avoids the topic of his own family. It is known that the writer is raising her son, who was born in Moscow in 1995. The young man, whose name is not disclosed and in his personal records appears exclusively as "son", graduates from university and meets a girl. The only thing Narine dreams of is that the descendant would wait with the children for now.

Not much more is known about Abgaryan's husband. The spouse of the writer, as it became known from the woman's online diary, is tall. As soon as the man saw the short Narine, he immediately decided to marry. After six months of courtship, young people began to live together.

Narine divorced her husband in 2017. Most of all, the woman's parents worried about the divorce. During the project "Conversation with writers about old age" Abgaryan admitted that mom and dad cared public opinion... After all, an adult woman was left alone. The writer herself claims that she reacted philosophically to divorce.

Narine Abgaryan now

In January 2018, the writer presented a new creation - a book called "Continue to Live". The work tells about the fate of people whose peaceful existence was interrupted by the war. The writer plans to create another book about military conflicts. Only this time, write a comforting and funny piece that will not put pressure on the reader.

The writer continues to be guided in her work by the principle “not a day without a line”. Narine admits that otherwise she would have abandoned books long ago. The writer creates her own works with jazz.

In March 2018, two books by Abgaryan were published in French. “People who are always with me” and “Three apples fell from the sky” Narine presented at the French national fair. The last of the mentioned works became a bestseller in Bulgaria.

Recently, Narine returned to maintaining a personal page in LJ, which she uses both to express personal thoughts, and to save her favorite recipes, and as her own official website.

A portrait of a grandmother in a blackened wooden frame, a childhood home, the graves of ancestors in an old cemetery, a red country road that begins in your heart. All about Manyun (collection)

I've always dreamed of seeing myself as a child.

For example, a 5 year old girl. Chubby, with a blush, with hair burnt out under the scorching sun. I loved interacting with caterpillars. I asked them all sorts of questions and constantly expected answers. The caterpillars either turned into balls or crawled away from me. Without words.

I so wanted to look at myself when I was little, that I once took and wrote a book about this time. About my family and our friends. About the place where I was born. About the people who live there.

There is room for both pertinent irony and engaging personal stories. Will a newcomer be able to become a Muscovite?

People who are always with me

In the first moments, it seems that the novel tells the story of several generations of one large family - about its joys, problems, happiness, defeats, ups and downs. But in reality, the work is much deeper.

It reflects the history of not just a family, but a whole country, all the people who live in it, and each person in particular.

The book will be interesting even for those who do not consider themselves a fan of this genre.
