Calculate points hot. Weighting factors

The bill "On higher education"introduced the concept of" wagovi performance. "What is this and how to count?

Hello dear readers!

A couple of years ago, I first encountered this concept. And already tried sort out in this matter. Then the question quickly lost its relevance and we "postponed it until better times."

The best times have come;) and today we will try to figure it out - how can a competitive score be considered for a bill " About higher education".

So:
Let's start simple:
Weight coefficient - a numerical coefficient, a parameter reflecting the significance, relative importance, "weight" of a given factor, an indicator in comparison with other factors influencing the process under study (Raizberg B.A., Lozovsky L. Sh., Starodubtseva E. B. Modern economic dictionary. - 2nd ed., Rev. M .: INFRA-M. 479 p. 1999).

Since this "simple" is not very simple, let's take a simple formula from the past. How the applicant's competitive score is now considered:

T1 + T2 + T3 + SBA + DB = KB

Where

KB - competition score

Now let's take a closer look at the bill and try to put together a formula that meets the new conditions:

Т1хВК (min = 20%) + T2xBK (min = 20%) + T3xBK (min = 20%) + СВАхВК (max = 10%) + DB = KB

Where
T1, T2, T3 - grades for tests of ZNO in competitive subjects

SBA - the average score of the certificate
DB - additional points (for training courses, victories in olympiads ...)
Т1хВК (min = 20%) + T2xBK (min = 20%) + TКxBK (max = 50%) + СВАхВК (max = 10%) + DB = KB

Where
T1, T2 - grades for tests of ZNO in competitive subjects
TC - creative competition (sing, draw, run ...)
VK - weight coefficient (in brackets are the minimum or maximum values of the coefficient for each component
SBA - the average score of the certificate
DB - additional points (for preparatory courses, victories in Olympiads ...)

It has always been difficult for me to perceive such formulas :) Therefore, let me try to explain with an example what it is and why we need it.

I passed the following ZNO tests and received the following grades:

Ukrainian language and literature - 150

Mathematics - 175

History of Ukraine - 140

English - 125

Average mark of the certificate - 150

I choose - where should I go, in what directions? I'll dwell on enterprise economics, law and computer science.

At university N, where I am going to apply, the following is written in the admission rules:

Enterprise economy:

Ukrainian language and literature (30%)

Mathematics (30%)

History of Ukraine or geography (30%)

Jurisprudence:

Ukrainian language and literature (25%)

History of Ukraine (45%)

Mathematics or foreign (25%)

Computer science

This time it turned out that graduates entering universities need to independently calculate the average grade of the school certificate. This figure is needed to calculate the final competitive score. This average score of the certificate will be recalculated and checked admissions committee universities.

How to calculate the average score of the certificate?

Step 1. Calculate the score on the calculator

The average score of the certificate is calculated on a 12-point scale. Tenths are rounded. To count your ball you need to add grades in all subjects and than divide the resulting number by the number of items.

Example. We take four items. The scores for them were 8, 8, 9 and 12. We add, and we get 37. Divide by 4 (the number of items) and we get 9.25. So the average score is 9.

It is important to remember that the items for which the "exempt" entry was made are not counted in any way.

If the marks in the certificate were set on a five-point scale, then this is also not a reason for panic. The Ministry of Education and Science said that it is possible to count as follows: "3" corresponds to "6", "4" corresponds to "9", "5" corresponds to "12". If there is no insert to the certificate for objective reasons, then the average score is considered equal to "2", which is not very good. So it's better not to lose important documents.

Step 2. Trust but verify

Teachers advise, if the school teachers were not too lazy and counted the graduates' points themselves, and the average score is indicated in the appendix to the certificate, then it is imperative to check whether it was calculated using the correct method. If it is wrong, then recalculate and indicate, then the number that turned out when applying for admission. A certificate with an incorrect score is still considered valid, and those who are mistaken - shame and shame, and minus in karma.

Step 3. Where to enter the ball

When submitting applications in electronic form, the applicant enters an average score in personal account... Where exactly - it will become clear in the process of filling. If the applicant finds an error in his calculations, then you can correct it yourself before submitting the first application.

Step 4. How the score is translated

The average score entered into the Unified Database on a 12-point scale is automatically transferred to a 200-point scale according to the table of correspondence of the average score of the document on complete general secondary education. See the table below.

Table * correspondence of the average score of the document on complete general secondary education, calculated on a 12-point scale, with a value on a 200-point scale

* the table is taken from the site "Osvita.yua".

And schoolchildren pass the Ukrainian language and literature. We have already written about that. Now the general material on how to calculate the scores of ZNO 2016 will be relevant.

For clarity, we publish the schedule of ZNO 2016

How to convert points zno to 200

To calculate the points of the trial ZNO, a special scaling system is used. First, all ONE tests in the subject are checked to find out the test score of each participant. A percentile is then calculated for that score — the percentage of participants whose test scores do not exceed that particular participant's test score. That is, the rank of this result among others is determined. Taking into account the obtained rating of results, the obtained test points are distributed on a scale of 100-200 - this happens automatically using software... After that, the score conversion table will be published on the UTSOKO website. This procedure is carried out separately for each subject.

If a participant has not scored a "threshold score", that is, has not passed the threshold, passed / did not pass, - he will not receive any assessment and he will not be able to score ZNO 2016.

Thus, the ZNO score depends on the participant's test score, as well as on what test scores other participants scored. The maximum possible score is 200 points, the minimum is 100. That is, the one with the highest test score gets 200 - this becomes the upper threshold. Therefore, the question stands: how to translate the ZNO scores into 200.

The participant will be able to find out his assessment of ZNO only after the table is published. Before that, the calculation of ZNO points is impossible, because the results of other participants influence the assessment.

But at the moment, you can also calculate the ZNO points. The more tasks a participant has correctly completed, the higher his chances of getting ahead of others and, accordingly, making his result higher on a 100-200 scale. The closer the test score is to the maximum for this subject, the higher the score will be. You can also look at last year's ZNO points conversion tables on a scale of 100-200. They will help you see the picture approximately.

How to convert ZNO points into a grade

After passing the ZNO, the participant will find out how many points he received. For each subject, these points are counted separately, and you can score a different number of points. For example, for the Ukrainian language and literature the maximum is 104 points, and for mathematics - 62. Well, for admission, as you know, a certificate of ZNO is submitted, in which the maximum score is 200 points. How, then, are all these different scores subsequently transformed into one scale? What are the principles of transferring ZNO points?

What is a test score?

This is the sum of the points received for completing the tasks in the test. Depending on how the task is completed, a certain number of points are awarded for it. The points for all tasks are summed up and form a test score. You can see how many points are counted for different assignments, in all subjects of EIT.

The day after the ZNO, the correct answers to the tasks will be posted on the website of the Ukrainian Center for Assessment of the Quality of Education, and the participant will be able to calculate his test score.

How can I convert ZNO scores to ZNO score?

For this, a scaling system is used. First, you must check all the tests of the EIT in this subject and find out the test score of each participant. Next, for this result, the percentile is calculated - the percentage of participants whose test scores do not exceed the test score of that particular participant. That is, the rank of this result among others is determined. Taking into account the obtained rating of the results, the obtained test points are distributed on a scale of 100-200 - this happens automatically using the software. After that, the score conversion table will be published on the UTSOKO website. This procedure is carried out separately for each subject.

If a participant has not scored a "threshold score", that is, has not passed the threshold, passed / failed, - he will not receive any mark.

Thus, the assessment of cancer depends on the participant's test score, as well as on what test scores other participants scored. The maximum possible score is 200 points, the minimum is 100. That is, the one with the highest test score gets 200 - this becomes the upper threshold.

The participant will be able to find out his assessment of ZNO only after the table is published. Before that, the calculation of ZNO points is impossible, because the results of other participants influence the assessment.

What can be learned now

Obviously, the more tasks a participant completed correctly, the higher his chances of getting ahead of others and, accordingly, making his result higher on a 100-200 scale. The closer the test score is to the maximum for this subject, the higher the score.

You can also see last year's tables of conversion of ZNO points on a scale of 100-200. Of course, they will not give an answer to the question about the assessment this year, but they will allow you to get an approximate idea of both the scaling system and your own chances.
