The magic of the morning. How the first hour of the day determines your success

My grandmother got up at six o'clock when cars started to rustle in the street. Now her sleep is not strong, she sleeps all night and thinks. Outside the window, the first, probably still empty, trolleybus passed by. Every time something clicks in it, it seems to her that the car broke down in the morning. They look badly behind the cars! There are a lot of cars, but they don't care ...

Today is Saturday. Anxiety for the day ahead began in the evening. Now this anxiety immediately grips the old heart. My grandmother began to be afraid of Saturdays and holidays. Before, when I lived in the village, I was happy, now I began to be afraid. Will something happen again today? Yesterday my son-in-law came home late, but my daughter did not speak to him.

We slept apart again.

Grandma quietly, with her feet, gropes for the boot. He puts his feet in slippers and, restraining his cough, so as not to wake up his granddaughter, whispers: "Sleep, mother, sleep! Christ is with you. You don't need to go to the kindergarten today."

The granddaughter from the first son-in-law sleeps with her grandmother. As they got rid of the boobs, so everything teases. Sometimes, she would go into a roar, and my daughter would immediately lose her temper. Throw the baby on the bed like a stranger. And all because neurons. Thin neurons nowadays, many have very bad ones.

So she thinks, tucking up the blanket of the child spread out in bed.

The road to the toilet is now the most important for her. There are only four steps. Why, you also have to open the doors - two - and walk across the parquet. And the parquet creaks, and the rugs that were brought from the village do not help either. Woven for them on purpose. My daughter ordered in a letter when the fashion for much rustic opened. And that is to say - fashion is not fashion, and you can't buy carpets.

She carefully opens the door to the corridor. Steps quietly on the rugs. But the parquet still creaks, as if dry birch bark has been applied under it. Thank God they didn't hear in their room. Now I would also like to open the door with a blessing. The door also creaks, and the switch clicks very quickly. She decides not to turn on the light, the toilet still has a window from the kitchen, it is possible even at dusk. Even better. The new son-in-law covered the entire toilet with pictures, and in the pictures there are only naked girls. She is always ashamed to look at these - almost in what her mother gave birth. Such chips hang. But what can you do? It's more their business. Grandma sighs and again thinks what to do. You ought to really flush the water, but you make such a noise that it's a real disaster. If you don't let it down, it's also a sin. The daughter scolds for the noise, the son-in-law is angry that the smell remains, you don't know who to listen to, who to please ...

She again solves half and half: she does not drain all the water, but only a part, carefully so that it does not gurgle. With washing, okay, you can wait. She quietly returns to her six-meter room, where her granddaughter is sleeping.

A sharp, but some kind of short, as if bashful bell is heard from the front doors. Grandma holds her breath and tiptoes to her door. “Lord, you don’t know what to do. If you don’t open it, they’ll call again, they’ll wake everyone up. And you can’t open it either. If only my son-in-law woke up and came out. Maybe to him ...”

She is waiting tensely: maybe they will leave. Sneaks up to the door and listens. No, not gone. It is audible clearly: there is someone behind the doors. Better to open it.

She carefully, quietly, turns the handle of the lock and quietly opens the door.

A bald old man in boots, in a gray cotton jacket, holding a cap in his hands, crumples at the door.

Good health! - he says loudly, and the grandmother waves her hands at him: "Hush, hush! .."

The old man rearranges the backpack from place to place and also switches to a whisper:

I would, it ... I, then, Kostya ... No Konstenkin, then?

No, no

Where is he? Not on a business trip?

I don’t know, I don’t know, father. He doesn't live here now.

Moved?

Moved, moved. Whose will you be?

Yes, I, that means ... Tell Konstankin that Smolin was. Olesha, then ... Well, excuse me, please.

With God.

Grandmother shuts the door carefully. It's good that no one woke up. Let them sleep, with Christ, they also prayed for a week, with respect she thinks of her son-in-law, daughter and son-in-law sister, who came from another city to do. That's six hours on the alarm. After reading the prayer, she sits at the feet of her granddaughter. It is very bad and unpleasant to sit like that, idle. And there is a lot to do, and they will wake up at nine, not earlier. Could have been knitted, but the wool has just run out. I ought to write a letter to my son, but after all, both paper and envelopes are in their room. I would like to go for bread and milk, but the store opens only at eight o'clock. There is nothing to do yet. Dumas themselves surround from all sides. And all thoughts are only about them, about children. The sons are far away, but my heart hurts about them. One, an officer serving in Germany, is the youngest. Another lives in Siberia, left as a teenager. One daughter is in Moscow, the other - the oldest - lives in the village. That man is not a drinker, a craft man. Think about them in the belief that they live well. Themselves got grandchildren. But here's my daughter, though in front of our eyes, but it's a pity most of all. They live like at a train station. Itself became like a splinter, with this man, too, swears almost every other day. She divorced the first because of drunkenness. The second, although he does not drink, is some kind of wicked, and not independent. Himself worse than any woman. They argue about trifles, but why argue? There is money, well fed, shod. Thank God, the time has improved, the stores are full of everything. It used to be that before the chintz was brought to the store - they bought it by lot. And now they don't know what to wear, they take gifts for every holiday. And the holidays - go buzzing. And between yourself? Often like dogs. "Did I teach her this?" - the grandmother says bitterly to herself.

And she remembers a long time ago. Long ago, but so clear, local, as if it hadn't gone away. Men and their wives had never slept apart before. If only they go to war or to work. And now? Women are too lazy to give birth to children, men have forgotten how to feed their families.

Is this a man if he earns less than his wife?

And suddenly she becomes ashamed that it is sneaking people. She scolds herself in a hurried whisper and remembers yesterday's letter from the village.

It's a shame. It is a pity for everyone - those who are suffering now and those who have suffered. Look, they write in the letter, sousse-dusky decent, younger than her, and died. He was going to live until he was ninety. Do not forget to remember in church. Oh, how much man has endured! And he was wounded and robbed. The skin was ripped off in captivity, they spat into the eyes.

She also remembers her own husband, who died in last war... After him, the mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law come to mind. What can I say, she was not painfully affectionate, deceased. Yes it is. The samovar used to sit, the first cup for her husband, the second for his son. And the third is not for herself and not for her young sister-in-law, but for her, daughter-in-law. Father-in-law, too - not at once, but thawed, but then did not give anyone offense.

The old man was stern, what to say. It's a sin to remember, I came into the house, spinning as if on a rim. Once she swept the hut, she looked, and under the bench was a silver ruble. The house is lonely. It’s a stupid thing, I didn’t immediately guess that it was purposely tossed, but all the same, I gave the old man in front of the pauzhny money: “Here, aunt, I found it under the bench.” I was so pleased and glad! He praised, stroked the head like a little one. The elder sister-in-law did not sell cows, made her a big daughter, daughter-in-law. Duty life, oh duty, you can do a lot.

Grandmother's thoughts flow one after another, but now the parquet creaked in the corridor, the kettle rattled in the kitchen. Woke up, get up. Grandmother suddenly remembers that today is Sunday and that she should go for a walk with her granddaughter. Her soul begins to ache. Grandmother discreetly approaches the window and furtively looks out into the street, in the direction where the telephone booth and the grocery store are. Is it there? Here already. Standing, heart, in a gray cloak, collar up. Smokes. The granddaughter is still asleep, but he is standing. This is how every Sunday morning, he comes and waits until grandmother and granddaughter go out into the yard. But sometimes the daughter herself leads the girl for a walk in the park, and then he pulls on the collar, closes in telephone booth... And stands behind the glass until they pass.

Where to find time for exercise, self-development and meditation? How can one hour change our lives? Why is the morning so powerful? And what needs to be done to keep the new habit with us for a long time? The author of the book "Magic of the Morning" Hal Elrod is sure that just a few minutes each morning can change your life. Selected quotes from the book are in this post.

Change your morning - change your life

“I really love what bestselling author Matthew Kelly wrote in his book The Rhythm of Life:“ On the one hand, we all want to be happy. On the other hand, we all know what exactly makes us happy. But we don't. Why? Very simple. We're too busy for that. Too busy for what? Too busy to be happy. "

Every person, at whatever stage of his life he is - at the pinnacle of success or in a period of misfortunes and hardships, in search of a way out of the current situation - dreams of at least one thing (there are probably many more such things, but I know about this for sure): improve your life and yourself. This does not at all mean that something is wrong with our life, it is just that we all come into this world with a desire and an innate thirst for continuous growth, development and self-improvement. Yet it must be admitted that most people wake up every day to see that practically nothing has changed in their lives.

I am convinced that it is absolutely necessary for any of us to understand and acknowledge one fact: what another person has been able to overcome or achieve serves as solid proof that everything, indeed everything, is possible, regardless of our past or current circumstances. It all starts with taking full responsibility for every aspect of your life and decisively refusing to blame someone else for your failures. The degree to which you take responsibility for everything that happens fully determines the strength of your personal power needed to change or create anything in your life. Change any area of \u200b\u200byour life - and you can do all this at the very beginning of the day, before eight in the morning. "

Oh no, not in the morning!

If you are intimidated by the prospect of getting up earlier, then you are not alone. The author of the book himself has always considered himself an owl.

“I thought about starting self-development in the morning, but I didn't like the idea right away. To say that I was not a morning person is to say nothing. In fact, I just hated getting up in the morning, and especially waking up early; I hated it almost as much as running. But the more I thought about it, the more a slightly different picture emerged.

Firstly, if I start doing self-development in the morning, it will give me a powerful positive motivational boost for the whole day. I could learn new things in the morning and probably become more energetic, focused and motivated for the rest of the day. I'm not even talking about the fact that, having started to engage in self-development in the morning, I would not have all those excuses and excuses that usually accumulate over the course of the day (I'm tired, I don't have time to do anything anyway, and so on and so forth). By taking the time to develop myself before everything else in my life and work could get in the way, I could ensure that I actually do it every day. "

Meditation, reading and exercise

What should be done during this hour? The author suggests doing it yourself, but it's important to start doing what has the greatest impact. For himself, Hal Elrod decided that Miracle Morning lasts an hour and consists of silence (including meditation), affirmations (repeating positive statements), visualization, journaling, reading educational literature and exercise. The morning ritual does not have to last an hour; all activities can be shortened to a minute. It is important to do this every day, and after a month this tradition will become a habit.

“I could read, but I’ve done it before, and I wanted something special. I could have been doing physical education, but again, this did not cause me much enthusiasm. Then I pulled out a piece of blank paper and wrote down all the most effective personal development practices that I knew about, but which I had never practiced before, at least consistently and constantly. My list includes meditation, affirmation, visualization, writing, and reading and exercise.

My stress abruptly subsided. I was filled with energy, I thought clearly and clearly. I felt happy, full of strength and inspiration. Depressive thoughts seemed like a distant memory. You can say that I returned to my old self again - although I felt that I was growing so powerfully and rapidly that I was quickly becoming an improved version of myself in the past. And with renewed energy, motivation, clarity and focus, it was much easier to set clear goals, strategize, and execute a plan to save your business and increase your income. Less than two months after the first "wonderful morning" my income not only returned to the pre-crisis level, but also reached levels previously inaccessible to me. "

What morning is such a life

Waking up every day and your morning routine (or lack thereof) greatly affects your success in all areas of your life. A focused, productive and successful morning generates a focused, productive and successful day that inevitably leads to a successful life - just as unfocused, unproductive, and mediocre mornings create unfocused, unproductive and mediocre days and ultimately a mediocre quality of life. By simply changing the time you wake up in the morning, you can dramatically improve every aspect of your life, faster than you probably think.

  • Don't make exceptions. Hal Elrod is convinced that consistency is very important. If you want to stay in bed one morning, your motivation will drop and the next time you decide you can afford to miss one more time. One of the most common, albeit less obvious, reasons for mediocrity is the desire to make exceptions for oneself. We do this by mistakenly believing that every choice we make and every action we do affects only a particular moment or circumstance. For example, you may think that skipping a workout at the gym, postponing a project, or eating unhealthy fast food is not particularly bad, because everything can be caught up or fixed tomorrow. But you are making the mistake of thinking that skipping a workout only affects you today and next time you will certainly do right choice... Each time you choose a simple solution instead of the right one, you shape your personality and become more and more a person who prefers what is easy and simple, rather than what is right.
  • A report that motivates. Have you had days when you were about to go to the gym but didn't go because you didn't feel like it that day? What if you knew that someone was counting on you and waiting at the gym? In a situation where you are accountable to someone, are you more likely to do what you set out to do? Probably yes. So find yourself a reliable reporting partner. This can be a friend, colleague, or family member.

  • 30 days to fall in love with a new habit. The author of the book estimates that it takes about 30 days to form a habit. The first 10 days will become difficult and sometimes even unbearable, the next 10 days will become easier, but the course will still be difficult, and in the last 10 days a new habit will become a part of your character and even be enjoyable. So, the author himself simply could not stand running, but forced himself to jog every day for 30 days. For the first 10 days, he wanted to quit. Every day he struggled with an inner voice that persuaded him to leave this venture. From 11 to 20 days, there were significant changes: he liked running more and more. And after the 20th day, he felt that he was getting real pleasure from running.
  • Joy to a new day. Before going to bed, think about what pleasant tomorrow will bring you? Maybe you are dating a friend? Are you just looking forward to a great breakfast? Finding a reason that excites you to wait impatiently for the next day will make it easier to get up in the morning.
  • Don't put off until tomorrow. Perhaps the biggest reason for our mediocrity and unrealized potential is that most people see no urgency in starting to improve and therefore improve their lives. It is natural for a person to live with a worldview “someday, but not now” and believe that life will flow by itself in any case. This attitude never changes, and it leads to a life of eternal regret and unfulfilled ideas. Hal Elrod suggests starting the change now.

Once upon a time, at the dawn of my freelance career, I earned very little, but I firmly decided to spend 10% of my income on books. Then, with this money, I could hardly buy one normal book. Years passed, and I adhered to this rule. Now, at 10% of my monthly salary, I can buy so many books that I cannot read them in a year - and this means that I bought and read books for a reason.

Always save 10% of your income for books - this is the best investment of that money. You don't need to postpone more, less too.

Here's my monthly rate so far:

2. Read with a notepad

I also like to call this rule "read smart". I never read a book twice. This happens because I "squeeze" all ideas out of her as much as possible - a notebook helps me. Reading a book, I write down all interesting and useful ideas, all links to other books, write out quotes that inspire me. When I don’t have a notebook or are not comfortable using it, I write in the margin with a pencil.

As a result, I have a copy of the book, the concentration of its ideas, the quintessence of meaning in my notebook. It is pleasant to re-read the notebook later - it is very inspiring.

And most importantly, such reading allows you to penetrate deeply into the book.

3. Make the top books to buy

Combining the first two tips, we have a rule to spend 10% of money on books and a list interesting books in a notebook. This very list is the "to-do" of future purchases. It is regularly reshuffled and revised - personal and professional interests tend to change.

4. Read at least an hour a day

Better two. In fact, it doesn't matter how much you read (although I highly recommend reading at least an hour a day). It is important to do this regularly - accustom yourself to the rule "not a day without a book."

Setting aside an hour a day for reading is very difficult, especially for a busy person. In this case, I advise you to break the reading into small twenty-minute chunks that you can evenly "eat" throughout the day. Reading at night before bed is not cool, a tired brain will refuse to perceive the book and consider it sleeping pills.

5. Mix styles

I am a big fan of books about self-development and motivation (probably, I am one of those people for whom reading books about self-development has replaced self-development itself). However, reading such books every day is boring. Therefore, alternate books, first useful, then fiction, then business and then fiction. Fiction books are also very useful and interesting to read.

6. Don't hold on to books

I advise you to exchange books with friends and acquaintances. First, it's a cool way to save money. Second, you help your friends learn and grow. I have already lost count of the books that I sent by mail to my friends - both I am pleased and useful to them.

7. Switch to e-books

Whoever says anything, but the paper book is gradually dying off, turning into a kind of vinyl record - a pleasure for fans. Reading in the reader is easier, simpler and much cheaper. For the reader, the reader pays for itself in about two months. And how many trees you save is hard to calculate.

These are my simple rules and laws. Once you start reading, it is no longer possible to stop. I'll tell you this for sure. And one more thing: as an unknown designer Artemy Lebedev once said, each successful person these are primarily books that he read on time.

This does not mean at all that there is something with our life not this way, just we all come to this world with a desire and an innate thirst for continuous growth, development and self-improvement. Introduction. My story and why yours matters too

On December 3, 1999, my life was good. No she was beautiful. I turned twenty, behind my first college year. For the past year and a half, I've dedicated myself to becoming one of the most productive sales representatives for a $ 200 million marketing company, and, breaking all records for this firm, I have made more money than I dreamed at my relatively young age. I was in love with my girlfriend, had a happy, loving family and the best friends that any young man could desire. In short, I was really happy.

You can say I was at the top of the world. And I, of course, could not know in any way that on that night my wonderful world the end will come.

11:32 pm: Over 100 kilometers per hour south on highway 99

We have just left the restaurant, leaving a group of friends in it. Now there were only two of us. My girlfriend, tired of the tumultuous events of that evening, dozed in the passenger seat. But not me. I was awake and alert: my eyes were glued to the road running away into the distance, and I, like a conductor's baton, waving my finger in the air, echoed Tchaikovsky's calm, beautiful melody pouring from the radio.

I was still in a state of euphoria from the events of that wonderful evening, and I was not at all overcome by sleep. I was on the freeway at a very high speed in my brand new white Ford Mustang. Two hours ago, I gave the best speech of my life. For the first time, I was awarded a real standing ovation, and, of course, I was absolutely delighted with it. I was overwhelmed with feelings, and at that moment I with great joy would have shouted words of gratitude to anyone who would have agreed to listen to me, but my friend was asleep and it was pointless to talk to her. I thought: should I call my mom and dad, but it was too late and they were most likely asleep. And I didn't call, but I should have. How could I have known that that minute was the last opportunity to communicate with my parents - and indeed with anyone - for quite a long time.

Unimaginable reality

No, I don't remember the headlights of a massive Chevrolet truck racing right at me. But they certainly were. By order of capricious fate, in an instant, a huge Chevrolet, flying even faster than me, crashed into my small, clearly different weight category, Ford Mustang. The next seconds I lived as if in slow motion; this terrible slow dance was performed to the wonderful sounds of Tchaikovsky's music.

The metal bumpers of the two cars collided with a terrible squeal and were immediately twisted and broken. The Mustang airbags deployed with such force that both of us were instantly knocked out. My brain, still racing forward at over a hundred kilometers an hour, crashed into the front wall of my skull, destroying the lion's share of vital brain tissue, its frontal lobe.

As a result of the collision, the rear of my Mustang was folded onto the right shoulder; the car turned so that the driver's door inevitably became a target for the car driving behind me. A Saturn sedan driven by a sixteen-year-old crashed into my door at over 100 kilometers per hour, and the twisted iron bit into the left side of my body. The frame of the metal roof literally crumpled on my head, splitting my skull and almost severing my left ear. The bones of the left eye socket were shattered, the left eyeball literally hung in the air. Left hand broke, leading to a rupture of the radial nerve in the forearm; the elbow was shattered and the fractured bone pierced the skin over the bicep.

My pelvis had an impossible task - to prevent the Saturn bumper from colliding with the B-pillar of my car, and, of course, it did not cope with this task. As a result, the pelvis was fractured in three different places at once. Finally, my thighbone - the largest bone in a human skeleton - snapped in half, and one end pierced the skin of my thigh with a spear and came out, ripping open my black suit pants.

Everything around was covered with blood. My body was destroyed and my brain was irreversibly damaged.

Unable to withstand the most terrible physical suffering, the body gave up, the pressure dropped sharply, everything around turned black, and I fell into a coma.

You only live ... twice?

Rescue team members who arrived at the scene of the accident cut my bloody body with hydraulic scissors and pulled it out of the rubble. By the time they finished, I had lost a lot of blood. My heart wasn't beating. I stopped breathing. Clinically, I was dead.

The paramedics immediately loaded me onto a rescue helicopter and began diligently trying to prevent me from leaving completely. Six minutes later, they succeeded. My heart began to beat again. I was breathing pure oxygen. Fortunately, I was alive.

I spent six days in a coma to finally wake up to find out that I would never walk again. After seven weeks of the most difficult recovery and rehabilitation in the hospital, where I tried again and again to start walking, I was discharged into the care of my parents - back to the real world. With eleven broken bones, irreversible brain damage, having lost a girlfriend who broke up with me while I was in the hospital, I knew perfectly well that life would never be the same again. And believe it or not, it later turned out that it would change for the better.

Of course, it was difficult to face an entirely new reality; sometimes I could not get rid of the thought: why did this happen to me? However, I had to take responsibility for getting my life back on track. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself and talking about how everyone should have been I accepted what is and stopped wasting energy on meaningless desires, fully focused on making the most efficient use of what I had. I could not change the past, so I just had to tune in to move forward. In the end, I dedicated my life to maximizing my potential and achieving what I dreamed of, as well as teaching other people to do it.

And precisely because I chose to be sincere grateful fate for everything she gave me, of course accepted everything that he did not accept before, and took full responsibility for implementation of all I dreamed of, this basically devastating car accident ultimately became one of the best experiences of my life. Based on the belief that everything that happens to us does not happen without a reason - while we we are responsible for choosing the most inspiring and self-esteem challengesevents and circumstances in our life - I used what happened as fuel for a triumphant return to normal life.

year 2000. The year that began when I found myself in a hospital bed broken, broken, but undefeated, ended in a completely different way. Now I didn't have a car, as well as a normal short-term memory, so I had every reason to sit at home and feel sorry for myself. However, I returned to Cutco as a sales agent. And this year was the best of my career: I ended it at number six in the entire company (and in fact it had over sixty thousand very active sales representatives). At the same time, I was gradually recovering - physically, mentally, emotionally and financially - from a terrible accident.

year 2001. Having learned some invaluable life lessons from my own experience, I realized that it was time to turn my adversity into inspiration and start teaching people how to succeed in life. So he started performing in high schools and colleges and telling his story. The reaction of both pupils and students, as well as teachers and professors to my stories was mostly overwhelmingly positive, as a result of which I decided that my mission was to influence young people.

2002 year. To give me the opportunity to further inspire people to deal with life's difficulties, my close friend John Berhoff convinced me to write a book about myself. And I started writing. But, as soon as he started, he immediately stopped. I, you know, not a writer. For me, school essays were quite a difficult task, what can we say about a whole book. After repeated attempts to resume work on the book, which invariably ended with another wave of disappointment, I was almost certain that this book was not destined to come to light. Well, on the other hand, for two years in a row I became employee number two in the top ten of Cutco. Not bad already.

2004 year. Deciding to try my hand at management, I accepted the promotion and became Sales Manager at Cutco's Sacramento office. And our team finished first in the company, breaking the new annual corporation record. Also, that fall, I reached my all-time personal sales record, and my photo was posted in the Cutco Hall of Fame. Feeling that I had achieved everything I wanted in this company, I decided it was time to fulfill my life's dream of becoming a professional lead presenter and motivational speaker. And I began to think that I could even write a book, the thought of which has not left me for the last couple of years. I also met Ursula. We were inseparable and I felt like she could be mine the only one.

February 2005. Sitting in the audience at my last conference at Cutco, I suddenly realized with painful clarity: and yet I never realized my potential here. Here are the ones! .. Of course, I won several awards and broke several sales records, but looking from where two of the best employees received the highest annual Cutco award - the coveted Rolex watch, I suddenly realized that I had never aspired to this goals in full force, at least not all year. And I would not be able to live in complete harmony with myself if I left the company without maximizing my potential in it. I had to stay here for another year, but this time I had to give all of myself to the company.

Spring 2006. My first book, Taking Life Head On: How to Love the Life You Have While You Create the Life of Your Dreams, came in at # 7 on Amazon's bestseller list. And then something completely unthinkable happened. My publisher fled the country, taking with him all my royalties from the sale of the bestseller, and no one else ever heard of him. My parents were desperate - unlike me. If that unfortunate car accident And she taught me something, it’s the fact that there is no point in complaining and suffering about what you are not able to change. So I didn't suffer. I also realized that by focusing on what we learn from suffering and hardship, and how to use that knowledge to add value to the lives of others, you can turn any adversity into benefits. So I did.

2006 year. Having practically no knowledge of this profession, I suddenly became coach - after a financial advisor in more than forty years asked me to take his life seriously. I agreed. And I really liked it. My first client pretty soon achieved very real results in his personal and business life, and now I was just torn from the desire to help other people. I was only twenty-six years old, and my chances of excellence in professional coaching were probably minimal, but this idea was so clearly aligned with my main life purposethat I went for it no matter what. And mine new business began to gain momentum quickly; I soon worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, sales representatives and company owners.

And then a large public organization Boys and Girls Clubs of America invited me to be the lead speaker at a nationwide conference, and I gave my first paid lecture in my life. Although since 1998 I have performed quite often in front of large business audiences, the lion's share of which were salespeople, managers and company executives, I decided that, thanks to my tousled hair, my (rather) youthful appearance and the nickname Your Buddy Hal, I had a direct road to work. with young people, and began performing and telling his story in local schools and colleges.

2007 year. This year my life has gone to hell. The crisis hit the US economy. Literally overnight, my income was cut in half. My clients could no longer afford coaching. And I couldn't pay the bills, including the house. I had accumulated over four hundred thousand dollars of debt, and I was crushed and devastated. Mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. And plunged into the darkness of despondency. Never in my life have I felt so hopeless, so overwhelmed, in such despair. In complete confusion, trying to find a way to put life on the right track again, I struggled to solve insurmountable problems: I read books about self-help, attended seminars, even hired a personal coach - all to no avail.

2008 year. This year, the situation began to gradually improve. I finally confessed to a close friend how bad my business was (until this point, I stubbornly kept my problems a secret). He immediately asked: "Are you doing exercises?" I replied that i actually have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning, so no, I don't. “Start running,” he said. "You will see, it will make you feel better and clear your mind." Ugh, I hate running. But I was so desperate that I took my friend's advice and went for a run the next morning. What I learned while running was a turning point in my life (read the details at). It was in the process of running that inspiration came to me, thanks to which I developed a set of daily activities that was supposed to help me develop into the person I needed to become in order to solve the problems that had fallen on me and change my life for the better. And, as incredible as it may seem, my method really worked. Almost every aspect of my life that is important to me has improved so quickly that I called this method my “Wonderful Morning”.

Autumn 2008. I kept on developing his “Wonderful Morning,” experimenting with different personal development practices and sleep patterns and exploring how much sleep a person actually needs. I must say that my conclusions completely destroyed the templates and attitudes towards this issue of many people, including myself. I liked the results so much that I shared them with my coaching clients, who also liked them. They shared my findings with their friends, family and colleagues. And one day the moment came when I started to meet stories on Facebook and Twitter about "wonderful mornings" of people whom I had never met in my life (I will tell you more about this later).

We have been in this world for a very short time compared to Akhirat. Therefore, every hour, every minute, every period of our life should be spent in the worship of Allah Almighty. It is not necessary that it was exactly prayer, fasting and the like.

After all, some worship can be performed without prejudice to a person's worldly concerns. Also, choosing the right place or time for worship, a person gets more reward. One of the most favorable periods for performing an act of worship is also the morning hours.

Allah Almighty made the morning hours blessed for us and instructed us to praise Him at this time, say various prayers and dua. If we follow this instruction, our whole day will become blessed, and we can receive barakat from the Almighty on this day.

From Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

مَنْ صَلَّى الفَجْر في جماعةٍ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ يذكرُ اللَّهَ تَعالى حتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَمْسُ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى ركعتين، كانت له كأجْرِ حَجَّةٍ وعمرةٍ تامةٍ تامةٍ تامةٍ

« Fully, completely, completely the same reward as for the Hajj and Umrah will be received by the one who performs the morning prayer in the Jamaat, then sits until sunrise, remembering Allah Almighty, and then performs a prayer in two rak'ahs ». ( Tirmidhi)

According to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), there are certain prayers and dua, which it is advisable to read in the morning. To protect yourself and your loved ones from troubles, to make the coming day blessed, read the following duas in the morning:

1. " »;

From Abu Zarr (may Allah be pleased with him) it is narrated:

كان رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- إذا أوى إلى فراشه قال: باسْمِكَ اللهم أحيا وأموت وإذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ قالَ: الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذي أحيانا بعد ما أماتَنا وإلَيْهِ النشُور

Going to bed at night, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “ Allahumma, b-smi-ka amutu wa ahya » – « O Allah, with your name I will die and with him I live».

When he woke up, he said: “ Al-hamdu li-llyahi llyazi ahya-na baan'dah ma amata-na wa ilay-hi-n-nushur » – « Praise be to Allah, Who revived us after He killed us, and Who will resurrect us and call to Himself for account)». ( Bukhari)

2. " Al-hamdu li-llyahi llyazi radda ‘alaya ruhi, wa’ afa-ni fi jasadi wa azina li bi-zikri-hi »;

It is narrated from the words of Abu Hurayra, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

إذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلْ: الحمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذي رَدَّ عَلَيّ رُوحِي، وَعافانِي في جَسَدِي، وأذِن لي بذِكْرِهِ

« When one of you wakes up, let him say: "Al-hamdu li-Llyahi llyazi radda 'alayya ruhi, wa' afa-ni fi jasadi wa azina li bi-zikri-khi (Praise be to Allah, Who returned the rukh to me, healed my body mine and let me remember Him) " ». ( Ibn As-Sunni)

3. " La ilaha illa Llahu wahda-hu la sharikya la-hu, la-hu-l-mulku, wa la-hu-l-hamdu, wa huva ‘ala kulli shay’in kadir »;

It was narrated from ‘Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

« Allah Almighty will surely forgive the sins of any slave who will say: "La ilaha illa Llahu wahda-hu la sharikya la-hu, la-hu-l-mulku, wa la-hu-l-hamdu, wa huva 'ala kulli shai' in qadir (There is no god but only Allah, Who has no partner; He has power, He is praise, and He is omnipotent) ”, every time after awakening from sleep, even if his sins are like sea foam (as numerous as foam flakes)». ( Ibn As-Sunni)

4. " Subhana Llahi wa bi-hamdi-hi »;

It is narrated from the words of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

مَنْ قالَ حِينَ يُصْبحُ، وَحِينَ يُمْسِي: سُبْحانَ الله وبحمده، مائة مَرَّةٍ، لَمْ يأْتِ أحَدٌ يَوْمَ القِيامَةِ بأفْضَلَ مِمَّا جاءَ بِهِ، إِلاَّ أحَدٌ قالَ مثْلَ ما قالَ، أوْ زَادَ عَلَيْهِ

« On the Day of Judgment, no one will bring anything better with him than the one who will repeat a hundred times in the morning and in the evening: “Subhana Llahi wa bi-hamdi-hi (Glory to Allah and praise be to Him)”, except for a person who said something similar or added ». ( Muslim)

five. " »;

From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) it is narrated that in the morning the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say:

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أصْبَحْنا، وَبِكَ أمْسَيْنا، وَبِكَ نَحْيا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

« Allahumma, bi-ka asbakhna, wa bi-ka amsayna, wa bi-ka nahya, wa bi-ka namutu wa ilay-ka-n-nushur » – « O Allah, thanks to You, we lived until the morning, and thanks to You, we lived until the evening, thanks to You we live, and You take our lives, and we will return to You». ( Abu Dawood)

6. " B-smi-Llyahi llyazi la yazurru ma'o'a ismi-hi shay'un fi-l-arzi wa la fi-s-sama'i, wa huva-s-Sami'am-l-‘Alim »

It is narrated from the words of 'Uthman bin' Affana (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

« Nothing will hurt that servant of Allah who will say three times every morning and every evening: “Bsmi-Llyahi llyazi la yazurru ma'a ismi-hee shay'un fi-l-arzi wa la fi-s-sama ' and, wa huva-s-Sami'u-l-'Alim (In the Name of Allah, in whose name nothing will harm either on earth or in heaven, for He is the Hearing, the Knowing”». ( Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood)

7. " Hasbiya-Llahu; la ilaha illa Huva; 'Alai-hi tawakkyaltu, wa Huwa Rabbu-l-‘arshi-l-’azim »;

From Abu-d-Dard, may Allah be pleased with him), it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“The one who will say the words seven times every morning and every evening:“ Hasbiya-Llahu; la ilaha illa Huva; ‘Alai-hi tavakkyaltu, wa Huva Rabbu-l-‘arshi-l-‘azim (Allah is enough for me; there is no god but Him; in Him I trust, and He is the Lord of the great‘ Arsha) ”, Allah Almighty will deliver from the worries of this world and the eternal world ». ( Ibn As-Sunni)

As we can see, one has only to make a little effort and try a little, and Allah Almighty will take problems away from us and write down a huge reward for us. It is also worth noting that in order for our dua to be accepted, certain conditions must be met.
