Sergey Revin was born on January 12, 1966 in the city of Moscow. The boy grew up in a scientific family. My father was a research assistant. After school, the guy graduated from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology in 1989 with a degree in Automation and Electronics, qualifying as an engineer-physicist.
Since 1989, Sergey has become an engineer at a scientific and production association of measuring technology in the city of Kaliningrad, Moscow region. Four years later, he moved as an engineer to the Sergei Korolev Scientific and Production Association Energia.
In April 1996, Revin was enlisted as a candidate for test cosmonauts in the cosmonaut corps of NPO Energia. After successfully completing the course of general space training in June 1998 by the decision of the Interdepartmental qualification commission he was qualified as a test cosmonaut.

On April 25, 2012 he was admitted to the main crew of the Soyuz TMA-04 for the role of an onboard engineer. Less than a month later, on May 15, 2012, the spacecraft with the cosmonaut Revin on board took off from the cosmodrome. On the morning of May 17, Soyuz TMA-04 successfully docked with the ISS. For the next four months, Sergei Nikolayevich participated in more than 30 scientific experiments and research.
