337th Infantry Division, 1st Formation. Roads-Roads (337th Rifle Division)

The formation of the 337th OVP began on December 15, 1978 at the Sokol airfield in the Vladimir region. Since February 1979, the personnel took part in the district exercises with a "good" rating. The command noted the competent and skillful actions of the pilots. In August 1979, the formation of the unit was completely completed.

On September 22, 1979 the regiment was relocated to the Malvinkel airfield of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany and transferred to the 16th Air Army.

The leadership of the regiment of that period:

1.the commander of the regiment - Colonel Dmitriev Nikolay Afanasevich;

2. deputy commander - Lieutenant Colonel Belov

3.beginning half of the department - Lieutenant Colonel Laptev (Alexander Vasilievich?)

4.Deputy IAS - Lieutenant Colonel Zaitsev Nikolay Prokopovich

5.com. 1 ve - Lieutenant Colonel Proskurnich

The regiment's personnel were very young. The median age was 24 years. Dmitriev himself was 36 years old, and the commander 1 ve Proskurnich is 33 years old, he was not even married, since for a long time he was the chief pilot of some emir. Flew to Germany by squadron. Each squadron had its own route. The second one went along the route Sokol (Vladimirsky) - Shatalovo-Nivenskoe-Brzeg-Malvinkel. The flight was carried out with outboard tanks. Takeoff and landing like an airplane.
In the GSVG, very intensive combat training was carried out, which made it possible already in 1980-1981 to conduct successful tests of combat use at the Demin and Luninets training grounds. In Dyomin, the landfill was smashed to dust. The regiment's rating for bombing was 4.85, for launches of guided missiles - 4.65. Five missiles were factory defective. By this time, the commander of the 1st military unit was Major Nikonorov (in 1985 he was the deputy commander of the 335 OBVP, later he commanded the army aviation in the DalVO), the commander of the 2nd military unit was Lieutenant Colonel Fillipenko. The regiment's personnel were actively involved in the distillation of equipment from Brody to the GSVG during the formation of ove in Parchim, Noirupin, Templin, etc.

Part of the flight personnel, almost all flight equipment and a significant part of the ground technical personnel were from this squadron. In 1984, the remnants of the esadril were sent to Tskhinvali, and, after being replenished from other military units, were sent to 50 OSAP (Kabul) in August. ). In the same year, the remaining in Malvinkel 2 ve was also sent to Afghanistan, to 280 ovp (Kandahar). Thus, in 1984, the regiment's personnel worked simultaneously in Shindand, Kabul and Kandahar. Of course, during this time the composition of the regiment has undergone changes, but a significant part of the personnel in these squadrons were just those young guys who in 1979 took part in the formation of the 377th regiment.

In combat conditions, the soldiers of the squadron had to perform a variety of tasks. In 1989, for high performance in combat and political training, the regiment was awarded a challenge banner, in 1992 it was awarded the challenge pennant of the Military Council of the Western Group of Forces "For Courage and Military Valor."

On May 16, 1994, a minute after takeoff from the Malvinkel airbase, a Mi-24 # 36 helicopter belonging to 337 OVP crashed.

The commander becomes p / p-k A. Chibeskov (graduate of SarVVAUL 1983 and VVA named after Gagarin 1990).

In August 1996, on the basis of the regiment, a squadron was formed under the command of Lieutenant Colonel A. A. Zolotukhin, which left for Georgia to carry out peacekeeping tasks. The result of this six-month mission of Siberian aviators was an order to encourage the squadron personnel issued by the Group commander russian troops in the Caucasus.

It was formed as part of 57A in the North Caucasus Military District in October 1941. The division was formed in the station Krasnoarmeisk near Stalingrad. The division is replenished with people from the Rostov region.

In November 1941, the 57th separate army by order of the Stavka, it was subordinated to the commander-in-chief of the South-West directed Marshal of the Soviet Union S.K. Timoshenko and on December 18 began to be transferred to the front on two railways: Stalingrad - Likhaya - Starobelsk and Stalingrad - Povorino - Liski - Valuiki - Starobelsk. On January 1, 1942, it was included in the Southern Front.

Despite the frequent bombing, the railroad workers worked exceptionally well and harmoniously. All units and formations of the army, which made up 153 echelons, were concentrated in the indicated places on December 28 without losses. After unloading, each division made a marching march to the concentration area. There were severe frosts with winds and blizzards, the air temperature dropped to 25-30 degrees. The troops went on foot along the off-road, sinking in the snow, exhausted. We had very little motor transport, there were not enough field kitchens, bakeries. All this greatly complicated the delivery of food and the organization of food for the units. On January 5, the formations were fully concentrated in the areas indicated by them. The army headquarters is located in Starobelsk.

After unloading from echelons 337sd, it became part of 6A South-Western Front, which was preparing for an offensive in the Barvenkovo direction south of Kharkov. By 01/12/1942, units of the division (1127th, 1129th, 1131th rifle regiments, 899th artillery regiments) occupy a defense line along the western bank of the Seversky Donets River.

Early in the morning of January 18, 1942, a division of the 6th Army went over to the offensive. At dawn, its units were subjected to air raids, followed by counterattacks by enemy tanks. The division's repeated attempts to break through the enemy defenses on the Morozovka, Olkhovatka line were unsuccessful. However, success came in the 411sd sector, where they managed to break through the enemy defenses. Taking advantage of the success of a neighbor's division with an energetic blow, it captured Zhukovka, and on January 20 liberated Gusarovka, Volobuevka and Shurovka. In four days, the division advanced to a depth of 10 km. Its units engaged in battles for the Balaklei bridgehead. Until the end of January 42. The 253rd and 337rd, with the support of the 7th and 13th brigade, stormed the strong point of enemy resistance to Balakley, but they could not capture it.

Until May 42. held the bank of the river. North. Donets south of Balakliya. May 12, 42 6A launched an offensive against Kharkov from the Barvenkovo ledge. By the beginning of May 42. the division consisted of 7151 people, 30 guns, 85 mortars, 4 anti-tank guns. 337rd continued to hold the previous line of defense. Despite our successful offensive on May 17, the enemy struck and, having broken through the defenses of 9A of the Southern Front in the Barvenkovo and Slavyansk area, began to develop the offensive with motorized formations in the rear of the South-Western Front's strike group.

Countermeasures taken by the command Southwestern Front proved to be insufficient. The enemy also forced the North. Donets to the west of Balakliya at 337sd section and connected with 14 and 16td, which came up from the south. On the evening of May 22, the Germans closed the encirclement pincers south of Balakliya. 6 and 57A and OG Bobkin were surrounded. The 337th rifle division was also surrounded. Our troops made fierce attempts to break through from the encirclement both from outside and from inside the cauldron. However, only 22 thousand people managed to break out of the encirclement. By May 26, the remnants of the encircled group were trapped in a small area to the west and northwest of Lozovenka. On May 30, those surrounded were finished.

The division commander, Major General Vasiliev I.V. died on May 25, 1942, surrounded in the area of the village. Protopopovka.

The beginning of the formation of the 337th Infantry Division was determined by an order to the troops of the Transcaucasian Front dated July 29, 1942, on the basis of the Resolution of the State Defense Committee No. 2114 dated July 28, 1942.

Continuation of the story about my father Nikolai Alexandrovich Lyshkov

In 1942, he studied at the Mining and Metallurgical Institute in Vladikavkaz, had a deferment (reservation) from being drafted into the army, completed the 3rd year with honors. Voluntarily joined the Red Army. After asking for the front, the 337th Infantry Division was enlisted.

In 1985, at a meeting with veterans in Lubny in honor of the 40th anniversary Great Victory from fellow soldiers received as a gift a book-memoirs of soldiers of the 337th Lubnenskaya Red Banner Orders of Suvorov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky Infantry Division.

FOREWORD

337th Lubnenskaya Red Banner Orders of Suvorov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky Infantry Division was born in the Caucasus. Sons and daughters of the peoples inhabiting the Caucasus, representatives of our entire multinational Motherland, fought in its ranks. At Kavka-ze, she was baptized by fire. Then, during the defense of the Caucasus, the Soviet troops were inferior to the enemy in tanks more than 9 times, in aviation - 8 times.

But it was necessary to oppose the enormous force of the invaders, armed to the teeth, with courage, fortitude, and skill. The defenders of the Caucasus knew one thing: they must stand up!

Formed in August-September 1942, the 337th division took up defensive positions near Mozdok, in the Malgobek area, from height 390.9 to a brick factory located south of the Voznesenskaya - Malgobek highway. The 1131th Rifle Regiment saddled the highway, blocking the path of the Nazis to Voznesenskaya, the 1129th Rifle Regiment defended Hill 478.8, and the 1127th - Height 390.9.

Along the Voznesenskaya-Malgobek highway, there were not sufficiently wide and relatively flat areas of the terrain, which did not allow the enemy to deploy a large number of tanks. The approaches to height 478.8 abounded with steep climbs, overgrown with forests, and were difficult for enemy tanks to reach. But the approaches to the height of 390.9 were treeless and convenient for tanks.

Height 390.9 was a kind of key in the system of our defense, having mastered it, the enemy could successfully advance to the village of Voznesenskaya, to the Alkhanchurt Valley and, ultimately, to the city of Grozny. Therefore, the enemy concentrated his main forces on mastering this height.

Height 390.9 and its spurs will for a long time become the leading edge of the defense of 1127 infantry regiment... Its southern slopes were defended rifle battalion under the command of senior lieutenant B.I.Skatkov, the western slopes and the summit - the first battalion-senior lieutenant V.A.Egorov, and the northern slopes - the second rifle battalion of senior lieutenant V.D. Yatkovsky.

Fierce defensive battles were fought by the 337th in the Novorossiysk area near the village of Shapshutskaya.

In March 1943, by order of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the 337th was sent to the Voronezh region (south of Rossosh). Replenishment is accepted here. Intense mass political work is underway, the communists and Komsomol members set an example in combat training, help the commanders prepare soldiers for new battles.

And again in the 337th march, again fighting, again the pages of the history of the division are full of soldier's courage, examples of loyalty to military duty, soldier's skill. The Battle of Kursk becomes a glorious milestone in the history of the 337th - one of the decisive battles of the Second World War.

Victory in Battle of Kursk became the most important stage on the way to complete victory over Nazi Germany. The strategic initiative finally passed to the Soviet troops. In this battle, the enemy lost about 500 thousand soldiers and officers, 1.5 thousand tanks and over 3.7 thousand aircraft.

The Battle of Kursk and the exit of Soviet troops to the Dnieper completed a radical turning point during the Great Patriotic War.

Our soldiers seized a bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnieper, southeast of Kiev, in the area of Velikiy Bukrin. This bridgehead was used by Soviet troops during the Kiev offensive operation.

On September 19, 1943, the radio transmitted the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief: "As a result of a rapid advance in Ukraine, our troops liberated the cities of Priluki, Romny, Pyryatin, Lubny, Mirgorod, Krasnograd, Pavlograd from the German invaders ..."

Among those who distinguished themselves in this order, the 337th was noted. She was given the name "Lubnenskaya".

1944 was an offensive year, marked by new victories for Soviet weapons. The Korsun-Shevchenko operation will never be forgotten, the encirclement of ten fascist divisions, numbered about 80 thousand soldiers, up to 1600 guns and mortars, 270 tanks.

The Korsun-Shevchenko operation went down in the history of the Great Patriotic War as one of the brilliant examples of Soviet military art.

The soldiers of the 337th are justly proud of the fact that the division made its contribution to this significant battle, which ended in the historic victory of the Soviet troops over the invaders.

from the heroes of the Battle of Korsun-Shevchenko to Stepan Moroz. To the question "Where did the soldier learn to read and write?" the brave machine gunner replied:

I went through the front-line school

Tempered in the fire of battles

For Zvenigorodka and Shpola,

For Vygriev and for Steblev.

So any of the soldiers of the 337th can proudly say, recalling the famous Korsun-Shevchenko battle.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 26, 1944, the 337th Rifle Lubnenskaya Division was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky II degree for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles to complete the destruction of the group of German invaders, and the valor and courage shown at the same time.

In the same memorable year 1944, two more orders were decorated battle banner 337th: Order of the Red Banner for breaking through the enemy's defense, crossing the Dniester, capturing the city and an important railway junction of Balti and reaching the state border and the Order of Suvorov II degree for breaking through the enemy's defense, crossing the Prut River and showing valor and courage.

The 1131st Infantry Regiment, which distinguished itself in those battles, was awarded the order Kutuzov III degree.

In August 1944, the division took part in the Yasso-Kishinev operation in which our troops destroyed 22 Nazi divisions.

The collapse of the enemy's defenses on the southern wing of the Soviet-German front changed the military-political and military-strategic situation in the Balkans, Romania withdrew from the war on the side of Nazi Germany and declared war on it.

For ten days of fighting to destroy the encircled grouping, the division occupied up to 180 settlements, including the city of Focsani, the 1127th regiment received the name Focshany. The 1129th regiment was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnytsky, III degree. Later, for the capture of the city of Orade Mare and access to the border of Hungary, the 1131st regiment was awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky, III degree.

In December 1944, the soldiers of the divisions entered Czechoslovakia, liberated the city of Dilyanovo.

Bon in the capital of Hungary - Budapest, near Lake Balaton, where the enemy tried to stop the advance of the Soviet troops, where the courage and skill of our soldiers and officers won a difficult victory again in the history of 337 glorious pages.

In the foothills of the Caucasus, battles are unprecedented in scale and fierceness. A grave danger loomed over the Soviet Motherland, the enemy captured important regions of our country. He wants to deprive us of bread and oil. He has set himself the task of cutting off the Soviet South from our country.

Here the most important knot of events of the second year of the Patriotic War was tied. The fate of the Fatherland depends on the outcome of the battles in the South andlife of Soviet people.

The defenders of the Soviet South now bear the most important responsibility for the outcome of the 1942 summer campaign. Their responsibility can be compared to that of the defenders of Moscow in the fall.
