Social studies educational project for 9th grade

Target:Formation of a system of knowledge among cadets about the state, legal and moral norms; the ability to apply them in practice.

Tasks:

Fostering in students a responsible attitude towards laws and regulations, towards their future.

Activation of cognitive independent activity of cadets, both during class and after school hours.

Formation of the individual’s internal need for self-determination, self-development, self-education and the creation of conditions for its self-realization.

Formation of information and cognitive competence (systematized knowledge about the general principles and norms governing the life of society and the state, the relationship between government authorities and citizens; about the content of human rights and freedoms; developing skills in searching, analyzing, interpreting and applying the received legal information).

Formation of value-orientation competence (awareness and acceptance of the basic legal principles operating in a democratic society; law and order and legality; formation of one’s own attitudes and value orientations with this in mind).

Formation of communicative competence (acquiring readiness for constructive interaction, maintaining dialogue; argumentation and presentation of one’s own point of view).

Stages of project activities.

Stage 1 - preparing cadets to work on the project. Studying topics in social studies that are included in the section “Man, politics, power” (“Power in society”, “What is politics”, “Forms of government”, “Political regimes”, “Elections in a democratic society”, “Electoral systems” , "Political parties"). Repetition of topics in social studies for grade 8, which are included in the section “Man, law, state” (“What is a state”, “Rule of Law”, “Constitution of the Russian Federation. Fundamentals of the constitutional system of Russia”, “Government bodies”, “Human rights” ", "Government departments"). The result of this work is clearly formulated ideas among students about what power, state, law are, an idea about the activities of various branches of government, about the areas of their responsibility, about their specificity and powers; skills in business communication, analysis of diverse materials (statistics, media, regulations).

Stage 2 - choice of topic. The choice of problem is carried out using the “brainstorming” method. Cadets consider a whole range of exciting issues: children's rights, separation of powers, suffrage, what a state should be like. The result of this work was a general understanding of the problem. An idea was formed about the work on the project and its stages; his main idea is the creation of his own ideal state in the understanding of the children; The students divided into microgroups and resolved certain organizational issues (who exactly is responsible for what and what will be done).

Stage 3 - collection of information, research of the problem. The cadets conducted a sociological survey in the cadet corps, asking how the cadets, teachers, and administration imagined an ideal state. The children studied the symbols of different countries, their political structure, studied the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

Stage 4 - developing your own solution to the problem. Cadets process and systematize the received material, develop their own solution to the problem, that is, create an idea, a legend of their own state.

Stage 5 - action plan, portfolio development. At this stage, on sheets of whatman paper, sheets of cardboard in the form of a “clamshell”, on album sheets, materials are drawn up that highlight the students’ activities on the project, and video materials are processed. Oral presentations by a team of 4 people are being prepared, which, using stand materials and video materials, will demonstrate the students’ view of this project problem. The material was listened to, oratory training was organized, and scenarios for the cadet’s speech were processed.

Stage 6 - presentation. The teacher and cadets present their work.

Stage 7 - reflection. With the support of the teacher, the work done is analyzed, difficulties are identified, an assessment takes place, the weaknesses of the project are identified, and ways to correct them are discussed. Cadets write reviews about the project: 1) Thoughts about it (what they liked, what they didn’t like, what difficulties they encountered, what they would like to offer, what they learned new, what surprised them, what amazed them); 2) My mood, feelings.

Project presentation script for 9th grade on the topic:

"The state I would like to live in"

    Organizational moment, greeting.

Announcement by the teacher of the topic and goals of this project.

In one city there lived a sage. He was very wise and people respected and appreciated him. But in the same city there lived a man who coveted the place, position and prestige of the sage and wanted to take his place. He decided to outwit the sage, and thereby prove to the whole city who is the wisest citizen in the city, and thereby take the place of the sage.

The envious man thought for a long time about how to prove his wisdom to the townspeople. And finally I came up with an idea. He went into the garden, caught a butterfly, put it between his open palms and went to the palace to the sage.

The townsman knew that when he appeared before the bright eyes of the sage, he would stretch out his palms to him with a butterfly between them and ask: “Oh, wisest of the wise, if you are really as wise as the people say about you, tell me what you me in your hands: alive or dead?

If the sage says: “Dead!”, he will open his palms and the butterfly will fly out. And everyone will see that the townsman had something alive in his hands. If the sage says: “Alive!”, he will squeeze the butterfly between his palms and it will die. And he walked, already anticipating his victory.

When the townsman entered the palace and did as he had planned, the sage's answer surprised the townsman and showed the people who was the wisest in this city. The sage looked at the townsman, looked at his palms and replied: “Everything is in your hands!”

You are the future of our country, and what it will be like depends on you, on what you will be like. All in your hands. Our cadet corps trains civil servants, so it largely depends on you what kind of state we will live in.

Therefore, the topic of today’s lesson is the presentation of the project “The State in which I would like to live.” The goal of this project is to form in you a system of knowledge about the state, about legal and moral norms, so that you can apply theoretical knowledge in practice: based on the theoretical knowledge acquired in social studies lessons about the state and law, you and I created our own ideal state.

All the guys took part in the creation of the project. The platoon was divided into 5 groups, each group had its own task, but everyone worked for a common idea - to build an ideal state.

But in order to implement the idea, you need knowledge about the state, its structure, what law is, branches of law, power, the Constitution, etc.

    Updating the studied material.

Maxim Gorky said wonderful words about this: “It is necessary to know not just to know, but in order to learn how to do.”

The floor is given to the 1st group.

Concepts are encrypted in the form of drawings (glossary - explains concepts and terms using symbols, diagrams or drawings; the drawing expresses the essence of the concept on the one hand, and the emotional state of the artist on the other)

For repetition, concepts are proposed - state, power, law, Constitution, law (in the form of a glossary) and signs of the state (in the form of a diagram)

Watching video materials based on the results of a sociological survey, forming a model of your ideal state.

As Francis Bacon rightly noted: “We can do as much as we know.” But it is important not only to acquire knowledge, but also to listen to the opinions of others. Therefore, now we will analyze the results of the sociological survey that you conducted in our cadet corps. All respondents were asked the same question: “How do you imagine an ideal state?” When you watch the video, think about what all these statements have in common.

(After watching, the cadets name what unites all the statements of the respondents)

This means that we can conclude, as Victor Cousin said, that “Power over people is acquired only through serving them - this is a rule that has no exceptions.”

Thus, you and I have developed a model of our ideal state. Let's watch her presentation, which was prepared by the 3rd group.

(Viewing with commentary of the presentation of the model of the state. Comment voiced by a representative of the 3rd group: “I want to present to you the model of our state. It is socially oriented. This means that the main value in it is the person, his interests, rights, needs. Our the state is based on: family values, caring for children, providing all citizens with work and decent wages, ensuring a decent old age for older people, caring for the protection of nature and a clean ecological environment. This is how we see our ideal state in which we would like to live.”).

Role-playing game. Other groups play with the symbols of the state, its political structure, and talk about the Constitution and children's rights.

The command is announced: “At attention to the banner! Take out the banner!”

(Music sounds, the state banner is brought out, the cadets sing the anthem of their state)

An announcement sounds: “Address of the President of the State “Renaissance” to the people!”

The President comes out and gives his speech).

Speech by the President: “I, the President of the State of Revival, on behalf of my people, welcome the world community. Friends, you all remember that we had to go through the Third World War, which occurred due to many contradictions in the 21st century, and which humanity could not cope with then - the arms race, regional conflicts, terrorism, and the environmental crisis. As a result, natural disasters occurred and few survived. But, taking into account all the mistakes of the past, we tried to create the best state that has ever existed. George Byron has these words: “A thousand years are hardly enough to create a state, one hour is enough for it to crumble into dust.”

We managed to revive our state, we managed to achieve a lot - we were able to provide our citizens with a decent life, they do not need anything, we have no unemployment, so everyone can be confident in the future. We pay special attention to children, their health, education, and moral upbringing.

I am proud of my people and their achievements. But if we did not take into account the lessons of the past, we would not be able to achieve anything. Therefore, the history of our people is reflected in our symbols.

(Keepers of symbolism talk about the flag, coat of arms, state anthem)

“The slogan of true democracy is not “Let the government do it,” but “Let us do it ourselves.” (Dwight Eisenhower)

(The representative of the Legislative Circle talks about the political structure of the state, gives historical information about the Cossack circle, since the legislative branch in the “Renaissance” state functions on the principle of the Cossack circle - a presentation of the political system.)

There is a Latin saying: “Keep order, and order will keep you.” In order for there to be order in the state, we need laws and a Constitution. But Stanislaw Jerzy Lec said that “The constitution of the state should be such as not to violate the constitution of the citizen.” I am sure that our constitution is exactly like that.

(The representative of the Legislative Circle highlights the main provisions of the Constitution of the State of “Renaissance” and pays special attention to the rights of the child.)

We listened to representatives of the authorities, and I would like to hear your opinion, as citizens of the “Renaissance” state. How do you live in such a state?

(Children's statements)

Evaluating the results of their work by cadets.

Everyone on their desk has criteria for evaluating project activities, tables for assigning points, and a sheet on which they need to depict their emotional attitude towards the presentation of the project. You have 5 minutes for this.

(Each cadet gives points to his group and evaluates the activities of other groups).

    Teacher presentation.

I saw how you work to create your state, and I wanted to contribute. I wrote a poem and prepared my presentation.

Completion. Watch the video “Five Minutes of Earth.”

Confucius said: “He who repeats the old and learns the new can be a leader.” This means that we must learn from mistakes, not forget the accumulated knowledge and experience, but we cannot stop there, we must move forward, explore the world. And while exploring the world, each of us has the opportunity to demonstrate our abilities, to stand out among others in some way, each of us has something of our own, the most important thing in this world. The guys and I made our own short video about this, called “Five Minutes of the Earth.” And now we will see what each of you brings to this world.

(Watch video)

Guys, we still have the last, final stage of the project ahead of us. We will dedicate the next lesson to him, where we will discuss what worked and what didn’t, what difficulties you encountered while working on the project, what you liked, what new things you learned. Let us summarize and provide a detailed assessment of the activities and contributions of each of you.

And the presentation of our project is over.

Conclusion: It depends on you what our Earth will be like, what kind of state you and I will live in. All in your hands!

FORMS OF GOVERNMENT

Slide 5

WHICH FORM OF APPLICATION SHOULD I CHOOSE? Not one of the existing forms of government is and cannot be ideal due to objective reasons. Therefore, I propose a new form of government
1. The head of state must be a person elected by the people. Possessing certain qualities and having proven through his entire previous life and specific actions that he is worthy of it. 2. The head of state must have assistants, whom he chooses himself, who do not have legislative initiative, but are knowledgeable in various fields of activity. They will help him in governing the state. 3. Security forces necessary and sufficient to protect state borders.

Slide 6

Political regime Democracy is a political regime in which the people are recognized as the only source of power, power is exercised according to the will and in the interests of the people.

Slide 7

National polity My national polity has the features of a unitary state*. Distinctive features of the state 1. All the fullness of state power is concentrated at the level of the state as a whole, territorial parts do not have independence; 2. One-level legislative system (there is a single constitution at the level of the entire country); 3. Having a single citizenship. *- A unitary state is a simple, unified state, which is characterized by the absence of signs of sovereignty among administrative-territorial units.

Text content of presentation slides:
An Ideal State, as I Understand It. Every person dreams to live in the ideal state. And we tried to create the best state for life. Our state is a Presidential republic. The president is the head of state there and elected directly by the people.Every citizen has rights which can not be violated. In fact he has much power, he controls all the three branches of power. The Constitution proclaims a presidential system of government which keeps both the states and the federal power from getting too much power. It means that the federal government is given certain powers, for example, to make peace or war. The legislative branch of the federal government consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives. In the Senate there are 200 senators. The House has 500 members. Congress makes laws. The President and his Administration represent the executive branch of the federal governments. The Administration includes the Secretaries. President federal signs laws. The President can veto a bill unless Congress by a two-thirds vote shall overrule him. The President is chosen in national elections every 4 years. The President can not be elected for more than three terms. The judicial branch is made up of Federal District Courts, 13 Federal Courts and the Supreme Court. Federal judges are appointed by the President for life. Federal courts decide cases involving federal law, conflicts between citizens of different states. The head of state should be a real personality. He\She should have a will to win and a wish to have power. He\She should use power not for his\her own needs but for improving the situation in the country. A good politician should have an ability to risk and to love risking if he\she wants to win. He\She should be able to take non-traditional decisions and to give up some people from his\her team. If a good politician understands that some people can not perform their functions he\she should change them and forget how hard it was. A politician who can not change some members of the team when it is necessary will lose. It is very important for a politician to have clever advisors but it is he/she who is responsible for the decisions. Though people often say that a politician who has clever advisors is not clever! Political decisions may be ruthless for some people and good for the majority of the people. So, a good politician should be ready to take ruthless decisions. A politician who follows one and the same strategic line and does not revise his/her ideas won't live a long life in politics. But again, people may say that he/she has no will to finish something! No image-maker can help a person who is nothing. It is impossible to improve" nothing ."Image-makers and advisors can add only 15-20% to the image of a politician. The power should be used by a politician not for power itself but for achievement definite aims. All citizens shall be free to practice their own religion - no official religion determined by the state. All citizens shall have the freedom of the press - people shall have the right to write, publish and read anything they wish. All citizens shall enjoy the freedom of speech - people shall have the right to discuss anything they wish. All citizens shall exercise the freedom of peaceful assembly - the right to have public meetings. All citizens shall be free to write to the government if they don"t approve of their public actions and want to correct wrongs. All citizens shall have the right to equal protection of the laws - people of any race shall have equal opportunities guaranteed by law . Rights to property - officers shall not search people or their property, or arrest people, or take their property unless they show they have a good reason for it. All citizens over 18 shall have the right to vote freely.
