I exist - I am a student, who by the age of 21 has already tasted 5 universities. You say that I am crazy, why not settle down in one educational institution and finish it? I am a rebel by nature, a very complex character. I just simply cannot adapt to what I don’t like. Now I’ll tell you about each university, what prompted me to quit it and how things are everywhere.
She graduated from school at the age of 17. I always studied well, I did not consider the exam as a particular problem. She studied at a very strong gymnasium, so humanitarian subjects have always been held in high esteem and studied with a special bias.
I decided to take 5 subjects: Russian, mathematics, German, social studies, history.
I gravitated towards both economics and jurisprudence. Therefore, I immediately set myself a goal - to survive at any cost in two universities at once (in one in absentia, of course).
Since I have always been an active Olympiad, all the USE results, with the exception of Russian and German, equaled 100 points (and I didn't pass very well, society 86, history 92, mathematics 80).
I managed to pass Russian at 95, German at 90.
There was little left to do: choose universities and decide which specialty to study full-time, and which one by correspondence.
I ...
Show in full ... traveled a bunch of DOD, so I had an idea of \u200b\u200buniversities. Plus I talked to students, the picture more or less emerged. And what do you think I chose? Yes. I have chosen the standard list of universities for a student of the highest rank: Moscow State University, MGIMO, St. Petersburg State University, Higher School of Economics and RANHIGS. Plus for extramural studies: RUDN University and Moscow State Law Academy.
I decided to go for part-time as a lawyer)
It seems like any person who visited St. Petersburg, I squealed that I wanted to study there, but I had no idea what kind of hell it would be. But more on that later. At first, MSU bribed me with its status! And so, I, a student of the Higher School of State Administration, am trying to combine two higher educations. Oh yes, I went to the Moscow State Law Academy for part-time.
And then f *** t began.
1. It's not cool at all at MSU. Lectures, lectures, lectures, lectures. Students are some kind of dodiks. Except for studying, no one talks about anything with anyone. With all this, I came across a terrible hostel, where I literally lived in Spartan conditions. If we compare with the photographs published, it seems, a few posts below (there was Gorny), then in this Gorny I would not regret 30 thousand a month to live like them. I had some kind of creepy mattress, as if there were stones in it, a room for 6 people (and I lived with foreigners, we had such "fun"). And already in the first month, my studies at this stupid university were so intense that I came up with an escape plan. But first, I'll tell you more about my studies and teaching.
First, they take bribes here. MGU is not at all an honest university. I will say more, I myself gave a bribe. Not all, but there are such teachers!
The second is a standard day for a student of the Higher School of State Administration: woke up - went to the university - the most boring seminars, lectures - the sad teachers' faces - your boring nerd fellow students - you go home - you chew the material - it's already night on the clock. Fun? I am a student, I want to have fun! At least sometimes! Then there was a curious situation at the session. I studied for fours and then they give me a three in matan. Although I passed for 4 and nothing else. B * I, I sat crying for the dean. Together we went to the teacher - well, vaaaasche did not put 4. But I really answered at least 4 !!! I freaked out, finished my studies before the end of the year and ran to the much-praised GSOM SPbU for management.
Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State University are heaven and earth, like Moscow and St. Petersburg.
In spbgu to study very cool! But to live in St. Petersburg unadapted person - not very good.
They didn't give me a dorm at VUNK, so I lived in PUNK. If now everyone is studying at the estate in Peterhof, then PUNK is 15 minutes away. Where was my building? Yes. In another manor. In another city (directly, in the center of St. Petersburg, and not in Peterhof).
First, you have to drive an hour to the nearest metro station in a smelly busy bus. Then another 30 minutes to get to Vaska. From Vaska it is still on foot to go to GSOM. An hour and a half - I still prayed so that I could manage so quickly. But I know that now the students are even worse off, since it takes even longer for city people to get to the new estate.
Therefore, our studies began at 10. And ended at 8. Even on Saturdays. And I was still aching at Moscow State University?
About the state of the hostel: well, here I came across a heavenly place. Firstly, in peterhof it is very quiet and very beautiful, and almost all students of St. Petersburg State University live in the center, so there is a very friendly atmosphere and everyone becomes really good friends. The rooms have just been renovated, all the furniture is new, and the rooms are for two.
But the main jamb of SPbGU is the fucking location of the humanities faculties. Almost all hum.faculties are located on Vaska, and students live in Peterhof, although there are also dorms on Vaska! But they are for the elite.
Bitch, but studying here was the worst hell! Of course, it is interesting here, teachers fall in love with themselves and, most importantly, there are no bribes! And no one even dares to stutter about it.
Where do we go in our free time? To the promenade along the Nevsky and to the Mariinsky. I know that not all Petersburgers are like that, but GSOM students constantly go somewhere to cultural places (the padik is closer to me, oh front door, maybe the word).
in principle, if we ignore the facts that it takes a long time to get there, study all day in the literal sense of the word, and even the students are pretending to be underintelligent, and even a terrible wind (by the way, I lived a year in Pitet, and there was almost no rain - so bluff these stereotypes), then in general everything was sbs.
It is really interesting to study, it is especially cool because Putin is visiting, that the minister of transport is teaching the classes, and your director is the president of VTB. That is, people like our slaves))) like "Minister of Transport, let's drink some tea." "Bon appetit, Minister of Transport."
Well, because of the not sickly tuition fees (about 500 thousand), the state of GSOM, of course, is impeccable. Especially the new campus, yes.
Well, if I somehow survived the first semester, then by the time the session had already begun, p *** t had already begun, when three skins were tore off us, when you were teaching, teaching and learning to pain in your eyes, in the second semester I realized that here to survive, you need to be either p *** t as motivated that in the 3-4 year you will go to study abroad, or that after GSOM you will certainly become a millionaire, or be just a complete nerd, but neither the first one inspired me, neither the second nor the third. And when I already started to die and cried to my mother in the phone, which is very difficult (do not forget, I still have a special education!), My mother simply told me to take my documents. By the way, cool crap, it is customary here (all over St. Petersburg, but as I later understood, throughout Russia) to call GSOM students "elite". Well, yes, probably only a select few will get along there.
I transferred to HSE. Oh, absolutely everything there pissed me off. Starting from the creepy hostel, ending with the fact that f *** ing is boring there. And bribery at HSE is flourishing at a good level. But having bought a session, after the very first session, I was transferred to Finashka and then I stayed. More about HSE:
Studying is easy compared to the two previous universities.
Dorms cal.
Teachers - cal. Tedious.
Students - cal. By the way, whoever studied with me, everyone said that they were not rushing to study here.
University status? It is not even felt here. But after Moscow State University and St.
Exams are expensive. Not on the case. But I was too lazy to teach myself (I went deeper into jurisprudence), so it was not difficult to find a peasant who ran all the bribes and took them to the teachers.
There was a feeling that all HSE students have cerebral palsy. Some kind of inhibited, twitchy.
I ran away to FU. And then everything was fine with me. Finally!!! The hostels are good. Close to school. Do not ship. Learning is easy. There are bribes, but you won't be able to give them to anyone. The teachers are boring, but a good team, and most importantly, they are kind and understanding. Here no one imagined themselves that they were studying, God knows where. Well, because the finale is not such a prestigious university when compared with MGIMO, St. Petersburg State University, Moscow State University. And then I finally decided to stay.
Friends, apply to the FU under the Government of the Russian Federation if you do not want to strain too much, but at the same time you want to get a high-quality education. Oh yes, as I studied at a very good university of Moscow State Law Academy, I study in absentia.
So.
Let's summarize.
1. Difficulty of training: 1-GSOM SPbU, 2-GShGA MSU, 3-Higher School of Economics, 4-FU.
2. The quality of hostels: 1-SPbGU, 2-FU, 3-Moscow State University, 4-HSE.
3. Interesting learning: 1-SPbGU, 2- FU, 3-MSU, 4-HSE
4. Quality of education: 1-SPbGU, 2-MSU, 3-HSE, 4-FU
5. Free time: 1-FU, 2-HSE, 3-Moscow State University, 4-SPBGU
Peace for everyone!!!
I study economics at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. I note right away that the review will be negative, so if you are from the galaxy "Finashka is the best university, co-co-co," then you can not stupidly read and not waste time insulting me and my arguments in the comments, especially if the evidence I'm not wrong. To begin with, everyone I will not talk a lot, just list the main ... Disadvantages: just these 80% of weak teachers, to be honest, the teaching staff is WEAK, their requirements for students are NONE, it is clear that many do not know their subject very well and it is not clear how they defended their candidate's thesis. There are just young girls with round eyes who SIMPLY READ EVERYTHING FROM THE SHEET, without even taking their eyes off it, in practical classes. They cannot explain ANYTHING, especially when it comes to problem solving. In general, neither the learning process, nor the knowledge gained, nor the teaching staff save you from giving this university at least a top three. In my opinion, a university is not capable of giving anything except a diploma, even if you are ready to receive something from it and is open to education. Deuce.

Lists of universities selected according to some parameter are compiled almost regularly. The next one, formed by order of the Ministry of Education, was published in the fall. The only criterion in it was the average USE score of the entrants. The indicator is definitely useful, and "F." I used it to form my list. But, ultimately, it reflects only the current demand for the university from the parents of the future student.
Rating "F." compiled on the basis of data on the education of financial directors of large enterprises that were previously included in the "Finance-500" list of 2010, published at the end of September. The logic is as follows: the more graduates occupy the post of the head of the financial block, the better the education in this educational institution. This means that the alma mater of financial directors, say, Russian Railways or Sberbank, provided them with the necessary knowledge base. The size of the business was also taken into account. Obviously, regional universities are getting lower positions in this regard. But, as heads of financial departments themselves admit, education in the capital is much better. So everything is objective.
Schools for cream
The first line was taken by the Financial University (ex-academy), which in different years was graduated by 23 CFOs out of 250 for which information was available. Its students are so in demand that already in the 3-4 year at least half of them find a permanent job. “They take it with pleasure, and this is bad,” says Mikhail Eskindarov, rector of the Financial University. - Some students, unfortunately, perceive the invitation to work for the relevant positions as carte blanche: they seem to have received everything they can. This leads to missed classes and less knowledge. I believe that if a person enters a university, then his main task is to get maximum knowledge. He will have time to work. " The second place is taken by Moscow State University (16, of which 11 graduated from the Faculty of Economics), the third, with an apparent surprise, was taken by the St. Petersburg "Finek" (14 financial directors). Another factor in such a recruitment of universities is an established system of employment. The most successful have signed a lot of contracts with the largest employers. The Financial University partners with the names of Vnesheconombank, VTB, Gazprombank, Bank of Moscow. At the PRUE them. Plekhanov - RTS Stock Exchange, Moscow Energy Exchange, FC Otkrytie, Rosgosstrakh.
Technical universities have shown good performance. Many CFOs, in addition to specialized financial ones, also studied mathematics, physics or engineering. And the majority - as a first education. However, according to other parameters that were taken into account when compiling the rating (except for the number of successful graduates), technical educational institutions lag far behind economic ones. So, according to the average USE score of applicants, only MIPT stands out, but it has a special selection system. “Other technical universities, unfortunately, accept, on a leftover basis, those who have not managed to get into financial specialties,” notes Mikhail Eskindarov. “In recent years, we have been receiving the best of the best, excellent students, the cream of society. This is sad. I would prefer to see technical universities ahead. The fate of Russia depends precisely on specialists in industrial fields. " The competition for technical universities, with some exceptions, is much lower, agrees the dean of the financial faculty of the PRUE. Plekhanov Alexey Bolvachev. “A financier has much more opportunities to choose a job than a techie, who gets a very narrow specialization and cannot always be arranged,” he stressed.
An important criterion for rating was the cost of training. The most attractive financial universities offer contract places for huge sums of money - rarely less than 200 thousand rubles a year. Moreover, having surpassed this bar twice, the Higher School of Economics, founded in 1992, turned out to be the most expensive. In the regions it is cheaper. Even in the most prestigious non-capital universities, the price rarely exceeds 100 thousand rubles per year. “The price of training is determined by supply and demand,” notes Alexey Bolvachev. - The cost is primarily influenced by the prestige of the university. In addition, the price simply cannot be low, since the finance professional is traditionally a high-paid employee. Students and their parents are confident that this investment will pay off. ” Mikhail Eskindarov also advises not to forget about teachers' salaries. “If we want to invite good teachers, including those with practical experience, or specialists from abroad (we have a lot of them), then the price of training must be appropriate,” he explains. - Never believe a university that prepares a specialist for 20 thousand rubles per semester. Complete trash. The high cost is always justified by the quality of education that students receive. "
Is finance not a science?
A couple of decades ago, the professions related to economics and finance, very few people delighted. It was considered much more prestigious to be a design engineer, nuclear physicist or military man. But the demand for technical specialties disappeared during perestroika: factories stopped, many research institutes and design bureaus were closed, and most industrial enterprises experienced serious reductions. As a result, technical specialists could not find a job and had to retrain. “The most successful techies went abroad, many went to become entrepreneurs,” says Alexei Bolvachev. Employers also enthusiastically reacted to the influx of people willing to take on any job on the principle of "just pay." Without specialized education, they received a lower salary and, in order not to be left behind, they went to retrain as financiers. “There are a lot of them,” emphasizes Mikhail Eskindarov. - Every year we graduate about a thousand people with a second higher education diploma. This is comparable to the graduates of the first higher (there are about 1200 people). "
However, the proponents of technical education remained. Certain CFOs do not at all recognize what seems to be their core business. “Financial experience is important to work in the financial sector,” says Sergey Cherkashin, Deputy General Director for Finance and Economics of Polymetal. - However, finance as a theoretical science, in my opinion, does not exist. A technical education is useful for understanding manufacturing processes, without which it is difficult to be a good economist. " While working for one of the Big Four's audit firms, Akron's CFO Alexei Milenkov admired his colleagues' techy past, which was very useful when conducting inventories at industrial plants, auditing capital expenditures and capital construction projects, allowing you to see problem areas with the naked eye ... “In addition, many of the owners of the companies had a technical education from the beginning,” says Alexey Milenkov. “Sometimes it's easier to find common ground in clear categories.”
The best of the best
Which universities do CFOs trust? "One of the most important factors in the preparation of good specialists in finance by a university is the high qualification of the teaching staff, the functioning of scientific schools, the conduct of research work, as well as modern educational technologies," said Dmitry Nikiforov, vice president for finance and investments at Intourist ... A state university is desirable as a guarantee of generally accepted and understandable educational standards. Most employers prefer educational institutions in the capital. The name, history and status also contribute: the competition for admission to these universities is tougher, it is difficult not to study in them, which means that basic fundamental education is of much better quality.
The list of the most valuable alma-mater is heard: Financial University, Economics Department of Moscow State University, "HSE", "Plekhanovka" and MGIMO. Among St. Petersburg universities, it is unanimously recognized as the best. In addition to systemic basic knowledge, these universities instill skills for self-education, which is very necessary in the financial sector. “The situation on the market is changing, if not every day, then regularly,” notes Mikhail Eskindarov. “And the knowledge that a student receives at the university is a base, but not sufficient to develop successfully”. A financial university, for example, reacts quite actively when new products appear on the market, organizing short-term training programs to improve the qualifications of specialists in this area.
Of particular interest to employers are graduates who have received a basic financial education in foreign universities and are interested in working in domestic companies, but there are not many of them. More than 40 out of 250 surveyed CFOs graduated from Western universities, and more than half of them work in subsidiaries of foreign enterprises. Another 10 people studied in the countries of the former USSR. Additional financial education is appreciated. “It is very important to have professional CPA and ACCA certificates,” says Marina Zabolotneva, vice president for finance and investments at Sitronics. "This is ready-made knowledge that can be instantly put into practice." On the contrary, an MBA degree is not so valuable when choosing a candidate for the finance department. Partly because the training programs are based, first of all, on foreign practice and are of little use for Russia. “It’s easy to get an MBA - if you have money and desire,” says Elena Zhigalo, financial director of Omskenergosbyt. “But in reality, the practical application of the knowledge gained often does not work: the market in Russia turns out to be not the same as taught by Western professors, and the management makes unexpected claims.”

The most obvious indicators of the quality of education at a university are the demand and competitiveness of its graduates in the labor market, as well as the size of the salary they can apply for (website) when compiling a rating of financial universities.
The rating is based on data obtained from the CVs of several thousand graduates who graduated from the economics and finance departments of the most famous Russian universities. An analysis of the employment of young specialists in the financial sector and other professional fields, as well as a study of their salary expectations, revealed that the most competitive today are graduates of the financial departments of Moscow State University, MGIMO and the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. After receiving a diploma, the overwhelming majority of them find a highly paid specialty, and the salaries of those who, for various reasons, preferred employment in other areas, are also quite high.
Among the certified specialists who graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Higher School of Economics, the International Institute of Economics and Law, the Moscow Economic and Financial Institute, the Kazan State Financial and Economic Institute, the Khabarovsk State Academy of Economics and Law, the economics and finance departments of the St. University, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, South Ural State University and the North-West Academy of Public Administration, more than 80% find work in the financial sector. Working in their specialty, graduates of these universities have the right to count on decent wages for their work, both in the capital and in the regions. Their former classmates who have chosen other spheres of activity earn slightly less.
65-80% of graduates of the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, the St. Petersburg Institute of Foreign Economic Relations, Economics and Law, the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, the Russian State University of Trade and Economics, the Rostov State Economic University, are employed in the specialty acquired at the university. Ural State University of Economics, Eastern Institute of Economics, Humanities and Management, Moscow Institute of International Economic Relations, and Moscow Academy of Finance and Law. The starting salaries that they can count on are quite decent, although they can hardly be called high.
The St. Petersburg Academy of Management and Economics, the St. Petersburg State University of Service and Economics, the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law, and the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics demonstrate almost the same percentage of graduates who got a job in a university specialty. The salary expectations of young specialists who have defended their diplomas at these universities are quite modest. It is worth noting that graduates who have not realized themselves in the financial sector earn almost the same as their former classmates who got a job in their specialty.
Of the graduates of the St. Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics and the St. Petersburg Institute of Trade and Economics, only 50-65% find work in the field of economics and finance. Their incomes are low and differ little from the salaries of graduates who have found themselves in other professional fields.
The information base of the portal contains information about the graduates of the majority of higher educational institutions of Russia, practically of all specialties existing on the modern labor market. Two-thirds of the entire database consists of resumes of specialists with a completed higher education.
The structure of the consolidated rating is a set of independent ratings for individual segments characterizing the picture of employment and the quality of education of graduates of higher financial and economic educational institutions today, namely:
employment rating in the specialty;
rating of average salaries of university graduates working in a specialty / related specialty;
rating of average salaries of university graduates working outside their specialty;
coefficient of variation of salaries of university graduates when changing specialties.

Attention! The place of the university in the table has nothing to do with the place of the university in the ranking! There is no first place, no second or third place in the rating.
The most obvious indicators of the quality of education at a university are the demand and competitiveness of its graduates in the labor market, as well as the size of the salary they can apply for (superjob.ru) when compiling a rating of financial universities.
KFU is a modern university, where both experienced teachers and practitioners who know the intricacies of the profession work well. The university provides many distance services to make life easier for the student. You can also apply to KFU using the electronic application system. The university has many areas of training, profile specialties are presented at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Finance. KFU is one of the few financial universities in Russia where there is an "economic security" program. Lobachevsky University invites future economists to get specialized education at the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship. The university attracts applicants with modern educational programs that contain many applied subjects. Also, the university is actively conducting career guidance work in social networks, creating special groups for applicants and answering their questions. For contractors who did not have less than 20 points to get to the budget place, the university has a special system of discounts. It is not easy to study at financial universities, there are many specialized disciplines related to mathematics and economics. If you need help with learning problems, contact Student Services.
