Anatoly pristavkin spent the night a golden cloud with a summary of the chapters. The work "a golden cloud spent the night" in a short retelling

It was planned to send two older children from the orphanage to the Caucasus, but they immediately disappeared into space. And the twins Kuzmins, in the orphanage Kuzmenysh, on the contrary, said that they would go. The fact is that a week before that, a burrow they had made for a bread slicer had collapsed. They dreamed once in their lives to eat their fill, but it did not work out. Military engineers were summoned to inspect the tunnel, they said that without equipment and preparation it was impossible to dig such a subway, especially for children ... But it was better to disappear just in case. Ruin this suburbs, ravaged by the war!

The station's name, Kavkazskie Vody, was written in coal on plywood nailed to a telegraph pole. The station building burned down during the recent fighting. For the entire hours-long journey from the station to the village where the street children were housed, neither a supply, nor a car, nor a random traveler came across. Empty around ...

The fields are ripening. Someone plowed them, sowed them, someone weeded them. Who? .. Why is this beautiful land so deserted and deaf?

The Kuzmenyshs went to visit their teacher Regina Petrovna - they met again on the way, and they liked her very much. Then they moved to the village. People, it turned out, live in it, but somehow secretly: they don't go out into the street, they don't sit on the blockade. No lights are lit in the huts at night. And in the boarding school there was news: the director, Pyotr Anisimovich, agreed to work at a cannery. Regina Petrovna and Kuzmenyshey wrote it down, although in fact they sent only senior, fifth or seventh grades.

Regina Petrovna also showed them a hat and an old Chechen strap found in the back room. She gave the strap and sent the Kuzmenyshs to bed, while she sat down to sew winter hats for them from fur hats. And she did not notice how quietly the sash of the window opened and a black muzzle appeared in it.

There was a fire at night. In the morning, Regina Petrovna was taken away somewhere. And Sashka showed Kolka numerous horse hoof tracks and a sleeve.

The cheerful driver Vera began to take them to the cannery. The factory is good. Immigrants are working. Nobody guards anything. We immediately picked apples and pears and plums and tomatoes. Aunt Zina gives "blissful" caviar (eggplant, but Sashka forgot the name). And once she confessed: “We are so afraid ... Damned Chechens! We were to the Caucasus, and they were taken to the Siberian paradise ... Some didn't want to ... So they hid in the mountains! "

Relations with the settlers became very strained: the eternally hungry colonists stole potatoes from the gardens, then the collective farmers caught one colonist on the melons ... Pyotr Anisimovich suggested holding an amateur concert for the collective farm. With the last number Mitek showed tricks. Suddenly, very close by, hooves clattered, the neighing of a horse and guttural cries were heard. Then it crashed. Silence. And a shout from the street: “They blew up the car! Our Faith is there! House is burning!"

The next morning it became known that Regina Petrovna had returned. And she invited the Kuzmenyshs to go to the subsidiary farm together.

The Kuzmenyshs got down to business. We took turns going to the fontanelle. They drove the herd to the meadow. Ground the corn. Then the one-legged Demyan arrived, and Regina Petrovna begged him to drop the Kuzmenyshs to the colony to get food.

The Kuzmenyshs got down to business. We took turns going to the fontanelle. They drove the herd to the meadow. Ground the corn. Then the one-legged Demyan arrived, and Regina Petrovna begged him to give the Kuzmenyshs to the colony to get food. On the cart they fell asleep, and at dusk they woke up and did not immediately understand where they were. For some reason Demyan was sitting on the ground, and his face was pale. "Quiet! - snorted. - Your colony is there! Only there ... it's ... empty. "

The brothers went into the territory. Strange view: the yard is littered with junk. There are no people. The windows are broken. Doors ripped off their hinges. And - quietly. Scary.

They rushed to Demyan. We walked through the corn, bypassing the gaps. Demian walked ahead, suddenly jumped somewhere to the side and disappeared. Sashka rushed after him, only the donated belt flashed. Kolka sat down, tormented by diarrhea. And then a horse's muzzle appeared on the side, just above the corn. Kolka fell to the ground. Opening my eyes, I saw a hoof right at the face. Suddenly the horse recoiled to the side. He fled, then fell into some kind of hole. And fell into unconsciousness.

The morning came blue and peaceful. Kolka went to the village to look for Sashka with Demyan. I saw my brother standing at the end of the street, leaning against the fence. I ran straight to him. But as he walked, Kolka's step began to slow down by itself: Sashka was standing strangely. He came close and froze.

Sashka was not standing, he was hanging under his arms on the edge of the fence, and a bunch of yellow corn was sticking out of his stomach. Another ear was shoved into my mouth. Below the abdomen, Sashka's tripe, black, covered with blood clots, hung down over her pants. Later it was discovered that there was no silver strap on it.

A few hours later Kolka brought a cart, took his brother's body to the station and sent it with the train: Sashka really wanted to go to the mountains.

Much later, a soldier came across Kolka, turning off the road. Kolka slept in an embrace with another boy who looked like a Chechen. Only Kolka and Alkhuzur knew how they wandered between the mountains, where the Chechens could kill a Russian boy, and the valley, where the Chechen was already in danger. How they saved each other from death.

The children did not allow themselves to be separated and were called brothers. Sasha and Kolya Kuzmin.

From the children's clinic in the city of Grozny, the children were transferred to the orphanage. The homeless were kept there before being sent to different colonies and orphanages.

The children did not allow themselves to be separated and were called brothers. Sasha and Kolya Kuzmin.

From the children's clinic in the city of Grozny, the children were transferred to the orphanage. The homeless were kept there before being sent to different colonies and orphanages.

Two twin brothers - Sashka and Kolka Kuzmins, nicknamed Kuzmenyshi - live in an orphanage in Tomilino near Moscow. The director of the orphanage is a thief (bread intended for orphans and homeless people goes to the director's relatives and his dogs; the clothes that he is obliged to supply the children with also ends up with his relatives and friends). Kuzmenys dreaming of getting into the "bread slicer" (the room where the loaves of bread are), for several months they dig under it. When the tunnel is accidentally discovered, the guys realize that they will have a bad time and agree to go to the Caucasus (where they send several children from each orphanage near Moscow). Their only association with the concept of "Caucasus" is a picture from a pack of "Kazbek" cigarettes, as well as a couple of lines from M. Lermontov's poem "Cliff". Ho hungry children are promised fruit (which they have never seen) and a lot of bread, which is a decisive argument in favor of leaving. On the way, hungry Kuzmenys touchingly take care of each other (Kolka gives his brother a tiny ration of bread, he goes to bed hungry), at the stations they run to the market to steal food (they eat the crumb of a stolen loaf and then ask the vendors to pour sour cream or varenets there; having no money, the brothers pour the milk back, and scrape out what has been absorbed with spoons). Together with the whole horde of homeless children (there are five hundred orphanages on the train), Kuzmenysh swoop in on young crops (when the train enters the Black Earth Region), and then "torment their stomachs" after eating fresh vegetables. They get acquainted with the teacher Regina Petrovna, who travels on the same train with their young sons Zhores and Marat (she calls them "peasants"), and the new director - an intelligent former supplier Pyotr Anisimovich. At one of the stations, the brothers stumble upon a strange train - the windows are barred, children’s hands reach out from behind the bars, black-haired and black-eyed children in an incomprehensible language ask Kolka and Sasha for something. An armed soldier pushes them away from the train, calls the strange passengers "Chechmeks." Sasha is very weak (from an upset stomach), they want to hospitalize him. Kolka turns to Regina Petrovna for help so as not to part with her brother (she arranges so that both brothers go on the same train).

Children from orphans are unloaded at the Kavkazskie Vody station. Children bathe in sulfur springs. A close friendship is established between the Kuzmenysh and Regina Petrovna: despite the fact that she is engaged in girls, the teacher often invites the brothers to her place, treats them to tea with saccharin, but the Kuzmenyshes do not abuse her hospitality: they are used to taking care of themselves, and Regina Petrovna is the same. like everyone else, he is starving. The brothers are quietly stealing from the village of Berezovskaya. The village looks strange: the brothers cannot understand for sure whether people live there or not. The harvest is ripening, but the doors are boarded up, only occasionally muffled whispers and coughs are heard. In one of the houses, the Kuzmenyshes find the guide Ilya, who tells them that the village is in fact the Chechen village of Dey Churt. People have been evicted from it, and the orphanages must become its new "population". Ilya treats the children to moonshine. On his tip, the Kuzmenysh begin to drag him "junk" from the warehouse, which Ilya takes from them by deception and then sells it. Ilya himself, nicknamed "The Animal", in his childhood went through a colony, and logging, and wandered, and stole, and was in prison, where he learned that there is a lot of "waste" land in the Caucasus and. houses are given to refugees for "free" along with belongings. The Kuzmenys are ashamed to return to the colony. Following the example of some colonists, they decided to leave "even further", but remembering Regina Petrovna with the "little men", they stay to support her. She realized that the brothers had stolen things from the warehouse, but did not give the Kuzmenyshi to the director, however, she refused from the lard they brought (from Ilya). Regina Petrovna arranges for Kolka and Sasha to earn some money together with high school students at a cannery (where they can "feed"). Having found a Chechen furry hat in the back room, the teacher begins to cut two winter hats out of it for the children.

At night, Chechens set fire to a building (several people on horseback arrange an explosion nearby), which contains a warehouse and, accordingly, winter things intended for a colonist.

At the cannery, the watchman's aunt Zina pity the Kuzmenyshes and allows them to take fresh fruits and berries, as well as eggplant caviar, jam, and plum jam. She is the only one who knows how to distinguish between brothers, they cannot deceive her with their resemblance. Aunt Zina is also a displaced person; she is scared to death of the Chechens who were forcibly taken away from here to Siberia for treason, but they could not force everyone to leave. ”Those who stayed and hid in the mountains are taking revenge on the Russians. Kuzmenysh stocks up jars of jam for the winter according to the old habit of the orphanage - they go out through the checkpoint in an embrace, so they squeeze the jars under their clothes, float the jars outside the plant along the stream in a rubber halo. The brothers do not forget about the sons of Regina Petrovna in her absence (after the attack of the Chechens on the warehouse, she "got sick"), they feed Marat and Zhores with jam from their reserves. However, their plan is revealed by the senior colonists and the banks of the Kuzmenysh are stolen. Theft of the elders is discovered and the colonists are removed from their jobs at the factory. A search is made on the territory of the colony and a cache is found - five hundred cans of canned food. At this time, the colonists give a concert of amateur performances in front of the settlers. One of the guys shows tricks and takes out a document from the director's portfolio - the protocol of the search. The colonists rush out of the hall to save supplies, but at that moment a horse tramp is heard. The Chechens blew up the car in which the cheerful driver Vera, who was friends with the colonists, and the house in which Ilya lived, drove. The Kuzmenys decide to flee the colony. Regina Petrovna returns from the hospital, tells the brothers that on the night when the warehouse was burning, three Chechens shot at her. Ho the boy, the son of one of them, jerked his father's gun at the moment of the shot, and the bullet flew past. The teacher is sent to a subsidiary farm, to get better. She calls the Kuzmenyshes with her, dissuades them from running away, and then promises to leave together. For the first time, Kuzmenysh thinks about the reasons for the hatred of the Chechens towards the Russians, they do not believe that all Caucasians, as one, are traitors to the Motherland. The brothers decide that Ilya was killed for the cause - he used someone else's house and good as his own, never even once working in the garden. The Kuzmenys actively help Regina Petrovna on the farm, graze cows, collect brushwood and dung, grind flour on millstones. Once, according to old memory, they are trying to make a stash, but Regina Petrovna talks with them that it is impossible to steal from themselves: after all, they live like one family. The brothers return the food, and no one remembers the incident anymore. Regina Petrovna comes up with a holiday - she appoints the Kuzmenyshs a birthday (October 17), prepares a treat (sweet pie). An immigrant Demyan takes care of her, persuades her to live together. Regina Petrovna says that she is the widow of a pilot, that she went to work in an orphanage to make it easier to raise her own children. Kuzmenyshes are jealous, both want to marry Regina Petrovna, regardless of their small age (they are probably 11 years old). Regina Petrovna gives her brothers gifts - shirts, skullcaps, boots, scarves. The next morning Regina Petrovna asks Demyan to take Kolka and Sasha to the colony. The colony is empty. The windows are smashed, the director's briefcase is lying on the ground, the yard is littered with things, as if "for evacuation." Demyan explains that they need to save themselves one by one: this way it will be more difficult for the Chechens prowling around the district to catch them. Boys scatter, hide in the corn. Kolka, after a while, sneaks into the village and finds a dead brother there. Kolka buries Sasha, feeling that he is “burying himself”. He sees a soldier's patrol and understands from the conversations that they are. they are going to "kill Chechens", and therefore they will avenge Sasha. Kolka brings his brother's body to railroad, attaches it to an iron bunker under one of the carriages and says goodbye to Sasha. Sashka dreamed of leaving; Kolka cannot leave Regina Petrovna. Kolka falls ill, loses consciousness. Opening his eyes, he notices that Sashka is giving him water from an iron mug and speaks at the same time in an incomprehensible language. In broken Russian, an unfamiliar boy explains to Kolka that his name is Alkhuzur, that he saved Kuzmyonysh from his Chechen relatives, and at the same time from Russian soldiers. Alkhuzur agrees that Kolka should call him Sashka. When the boys are found by Russian soldiers, Kolka insists that his twin brother is with him. The boys embark on a long journey; meeting the Chechens, they are saved thanks to the pleas of Alkhuzur; when confronted with the Russians, Kolka tearfully convinces the soldiers not to be touched, and as a result, they end up in the orphanage. There Regina Petrovna finds them. She escaped with the help of Demyan, but did not give up hope of finding the Kuzmenyshes. She decides to take the boys and adopt them. Regina Petrovna declares that she remembers the brothers Kuzmins in the colony and Alkhuzur - and there is that very Sashka. However, she is not given permission. Kolka and Alkhuzur are sent to a new settlement. The boys lie on the same shelf, embracing, as the real Kuzmenysh once set off on their way to the Caucasus from the Kazan railway station. Regina Petrovna slowly asks Kolka where his real brother is. He replies that Sashka has gone far away.
